One of my friends who has a "Hurak" and a "Tsavo" had ordered another hillside to Sam, he wanted something a bit special...

Blade 9", 559 layers 27.21 & W2, bolster 28.42, A beautiful block of wood obtained thanks to Karl Andersen...

WOW!! Samuel Lurquin has a distinct style and on this one the materials are just AWESOME as well!

That IS gorgeous!

Another stunner from Sam, (with fantastic handle material.)

There ought to be a word called "Samstyle!"

That knife makes you want to grab it and get your hand around the handle and you can see it feels good . very cool

Handle looks like stabilized spalted maple. If it is.....it's the best piece that I have ever seen.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

It very well may be. Sam and Claude have been getting some wood from Mark at Burl Source of late and he typically has some pretty wild looking maple.
