It's a kwaiken of low layer count 1084/15n20 damascus. The blade is about 3 5/8" long with an OAL of 7 1/2".
Black cotton ito with Dragon coiled on ken silver menuki. The ito is epoxied with West System 207. I like this epoxy as it's thin enough to impregnate the fibers but still leave the natural cotton look.

The photos show the effect of different lighting. Considering the low layer count I purposely left the contrast as minimal as possible.

The maker's mark is something new. I had to get some stencils made so I got a 1/2 sheet of the "Buranson" in Katakana for my Japanese inspired pieces. Since it is a little much to put 5 characters on such a small blade, I put the "So" character over the "Bu" character to allude to my initials, "SB".

Here's the pics. The angle makes some of the contrast look more than it is. The contrast looks most like the 4th and 5th photos.

Asking $old including shipping (Canada/US) and paypal fees.

Sheath pictured will be remade so if you need left hand draw or prefer a different belt loop let me know.

Thanks for looking.
