Kiwi- I'm sure that for a knife that would see rough use nickel is probaly a poor choice in the cutting edge. A mix of 1095 and 15N20 would be a better option, but it wouldn't look as purrrdy
Rlinger-I use a coat of Deft lacquer based sealer on all of the handles I make. Not sure if it really helps but I've been told I should and I'm sure it doesn't hurt
What part of West by God are you from? I've been taking a hunting trip there every year for about 15 years.
