Ok the Damascus Skylines (1760DAM) are about ready as well. I'll have a final production count on this short run hopefully by tomorrow.

True, but they never had anything that appealed to me and I don't know the source of their Damascus. If it's from Pakistan, I would rather not.

Alabama Damascus, provider of Kershaw's pattern-welded steel, sells damascus Bear MGC knives on their website.

Kershaw has more interesting knife designs and better QC, imo, but they both use the same home-grown stuff. I think Case used to use it as well.

Thanks for the info, Hardheart. I know that Alabama Damascus is good stuff. I am fairly sure that Buck uses it too.

If Kershaw can sell damascus knives for a very affordable price, why do other companies make theirs cost hundreds more? I looked into getting a damascus blade for my sebbie, but it would have cost me $270, for the blade alone!
