Damascus Skyline

this knife sure looks like a winner....and the best thing is when it gets all scratched up you could sand it a little and re-etch it.....easy as pie....ryan:thumbup:

Gorgeous:eek: Now I'm torn between the damascus Shallot and the Damascus Skyline. I already have a Shallot that I LOVE, but I have been thinking about the Skyline for a bit....I just dunno. Maybe I need to get both, and just deal the wrath of my wife:p

Yeah, the Kershaw forum creed, "Get both!" :D

A hint on the last bit...pay cash, have 'em delivered to your work address. ;)

Ok the Damascus Skylines (1760DAM) are about ready as well. I'll have a final production count on this short run hopefully by tomorrow.

These turned out really nice btw. Here's a few quick images of one.

When will these be available, how many are being made, how much will they cost?

Sorry for being so direct, but I'm excited :D

Dekz, the Skylines should ship next week. I'll post the production totals once they're finished up and there is a final count. As far as the MSRP, not really sure.

I think we'll all be pleased with the price point on this one. I'm just thinking about the low MSRPs on the new shallots; I'll be able to get the ZDP and 110V versions together for what I paid for my Ti/SG2 JYDII. Kershaw is really pumping out a lot of bang for buck these days.

I read on another post that the skyline was changing steel type (to something more rust resistant). I was planing to wait for that one, but this has be interested. I know damascus look great. Maybe some one could tell me how it performs compared to the regular production skyline steel?

Thanks

Check out this thread.

The run was finished up and left today. Final production count is 499 pieces. Should be on the street in a week or so.

499 made and mike will take 475 of them, so that leaves 24 of em for the rest of us!
