Damn good fake......new pics.

It's much easier to copy an already popular, high priced item than to come up with your own design; Everything is already established. Reputation, advertising as well as customer base, both past and future.

Thanks all for your information, especially Makael. Notice there is no letter/number stamp on scales. Pretty new to CRK, but use that as an indicator of the real thing. Have any of you experienced collectors ever seen a fake with date stamps, or is that a true CRK only marking? Thanks in advance for your thoughtful replies.

I don't think you need to see any stamp inside to know it's a fake. I would humbly suggest people buy first from a trusted supplier, perhaps an authorized dealer or if one insists on second hand from someone who is trusted here or on any major forum.

Once you have seen one in hand, paid close attention to the details you will spot fakes very easy. Really easy. Like you can figure out which shoe goes on which foot easy.

It's never a good idea to say "Only real knives have XXX feature." As soon as you do one faker will add it and then your words are forever saved in the bowels of the forums for every poor soul searching in the future to be confused over.

Wow great pics! Definitely lacking the absolute perfection in tolerances that make a sebbie what it is, but they're getting closer. If they manage to accurately recreate a sebenza perfectly they might as well just start a new knife company and give it a different name, because that would be impressive. The thumb studs are different colors than eachother, I wonder are they pressed into the blade, or are they screwed on?

What is sad is that eventually someone buys it and believes they own the real thing. They may even pay a fair market price for it, having saved to buy something they patiently worked to own. Upsetting and deplorable to say the least.

The anodizing on the studs is the giveaway to me but still scary how far the fakes have come . I notice there giving a crappy looking bday card now hopefully they don't start trying to stamp the date code in them .
