Ok yeah. Sometimes I put my knife down and it magically disappears.
I am fond of wood handles, but they blend in to the forests by me so damn well. Sometimes it takes me 5 or 10 minutes to figure out where I placed the knife down. Besides trying to be a lil more responsible, I started thinking about highly visible colors.
We all know Bryan Breeden makes a great knife in his orange G10. I have one which I like very much and it contrasts well enough in most seasons. But in the fall when the forests by me look like the pic below, you can see how orange and yellow colors don’t contrast much.
So what color would contrast well in all 4 seasons….. RC has tactical pink, but I just can’t do that. I guess I am not manly enough for pink yet.
I decided on a handle color that I don’t see much at all out there. I think it is a perfect color that stands out in all seasons. In the pic below there are 3 knives. One is Orange handled Breeden, The other is a Bocote wood DP knife, and the 3rd is the new one I just received yesterday! The forest is snow covered, but you decide which color contrasts the best.
