Damn you Spyderco people

I got the PM2 bite really bad. Bought a black/satin PM2 and liked it so much I bought another. Then I was at Field and Stream and bought a camo/black for $75 bucks!!! (Couldn't pass it up) I now also have camo/satin, grey/cts-20cp, and carbon fiber/s90v, blue/m390 on the way. That's all within two months. Now I want to buy the orange with cts-xhp.

I don't know if it's just you. It's been a while since I held the tenatious that I bought for my dad, but I recalled it feeling pretty similar to the G10 on my Manix.
Alright, I take it back: It is just you. My dad handed me his Tenatious last night, and the G10 is much smoother than the G10 on my Manix. The G10 on my manix is very grippy, the G10 on the Tenatious isn't.

The PM2 rekindled my childhood love of knives. I had been out of the loop for awhile and decided it was time for a decent knife. I have a distributor in my home town and picked up one of their catalogs for a good database to start my search. I always loved Spydercos in middle school while in boy scouts, so that is where I started. Then I saw the PM2. It caught my eye and I decided it would be my knife. (By the way, I had heard none of the hype) I absolutely love it. Since then I have purchased a Benchmade Rift, and Benchmade REI Griptilian and can't budge the PM2 from my pocket.

(Just another PM2 love story ha)

Since the addition of my Manix 2 and blue weave Domino I rarely carry a BM anymore. Even my ZTs are seeing less pocket time :(

Well Brother I know the dilema your going through:D Because back in the early 90s the first two premium, high end folders I ever bought were two Benchmade models i.e. the model 1000 Auto Spike and the model 640 Boguszewski Spike and I still own both of them. But in 1995 ( 20 years ago exactly) in the spring Gun Show here in Kansas City I went to a knife dealer's booth who I knew pretty well and got my first Spyderco knife which was a stainless handled Mariner model, fully serrated GIN-1 blade>> the rest is history as distinguished authors would say

I owned a few more Benchmades in trades and so forth and still own some of them but 90% of my overall collection and user arsenal are Spyderco's finest. Spyderco's newest and oldest fixed blades won my heart over quite a while ago when I snagged 5 of the Temperance 1 models (PE & SE). I've racked up a pretty impressive user arsenal and I rotate them quite a bit.

Moreover I also fell in love with Spyderco's great Sharpening tools>> which is another subject all together and I'm about as hooked on their sharpening tools as I am their great blades. Benchmade is a respectable, high quality knife producer and I won't argue with anyone who likes them better I can understand but Spyderco's great designs fulfill my needs to edged tools better than anyone does. Yeah my name is Joe and I'm a Spyder-Addict

Hello. My name is Ecchi-Spud (not IRL, but you get the idea), and I think I'm a Spyderholic . . .

Barely more than a month ago Spyderco was NOT on my radar for knives; thought they looked too "radical" and "weird." Had no interest in them. :apologetic: Then I took another look at them, and came to the realization that features that I thought of as "weird" and "radical" made sense -- and were very PRACTICAL. And that there were MANY variations (seems like more than any other blade maker) . . .

And as of this moment, I still don't have a Spyderco -- not in my hands (which is how I'm able to type this). Doesn't matter, since I have TWO on the way (the Cat should be arriving this weekend! :triumphant: ). My wish list (for now -- CONSTANTLY SUBJECT TO CHANGE) for future Spyderco purchase ranges from a byrd knife or two, possibly a Tenacious and/or Persistence, getting to a matched Delica/Endura pair, and on up to -- eventually -- Manix 2's and Paramilitary 2's (will likely take a couple of years at least; patience and persistence). :devilish:

Your bank account is now toast.

Pretty much, mine is. Im eyeballing a endura, but i really want to get a battle station, GB, domino, um... Yeah i kinda want them all, especially discontinued ones. Spyderco has alot of designs to keep one busy. OP will be having more fun in the future with his future spydie purchases.

Wait til around your birthday/holiday that involves gift giving, and use the rationalization of giving youself a present, so you can be sure that "you're getting what you want". ;) thats how i got my PM2 :D

Not a bad idea -- but what if you start using OTHER PEOPLE'S BIRTHDAYS and non-traditional (if not made-up) holidays?

"Happy Birthday, Me!"
"Happy Fourth of July!!"
"Happy Birthday, Dad!!" (I guess I should ALSO give him a gift . . . )
"Happy Halloween!"
"Merry Christmas!!"
"A Festivus for the Rest of Us!!"
"Happy Birthday, Guy in the third row, four seats in from the right!!"
"May the Fourth Be With You!!" (Does Spyderco make light sabers?)

"Luckily" I have more than one addiction. I spend around 80% of my "fun money" on ammo and guns, the rest goes to Spyderco knives and gear. Either way, it's an expensive life, but I wouldn't have it any other way knowing that I'm prepared for any situation that presents itself. My family's safety is #1 and I know that I'll always have something on me to protect them.
