I saw a forged finish hunter today that I really liked. I was wondering if anyone owns any of Mr. Graves knives, and what they think of them . The reason I was drawn to the knife was the forged finish with a forged in finger choil/ guard.

I've admired them for years. I've missed out in too many that I wanted. Especially his small stag handles snakeskin Damascus blades.

My first knife I bought here was a Graves Damascus. One of my favorite smaller fixed bladed knives.

Dan makes great little knives, I have three and every one of them outstanding. Great price too, got all mine on the secondary market as they go quick when posted by Dan himself!

I have one of Dan's larger knives. Workmanship is top notch. Nicest piece of stag I have owned and Dan is a joy to do business with.

I have one of Mr Grave's knives, an inexpensive and smaller knife purchased from him here on the forums. The craftsmanship is top-notch. I have no idea if it cuts or not though, 'cause it's locked in a safe in mint condition. :D

I have a small fixed blade made by Dan I carry in a pocket sheath. Dan does great work and is a class act.

Another  for Dan. I've had one of his stag handle Damascus blades and the workmanship was outstanding. My dealings with him were great.

Puts out quality products at reasonable prices, I highly recommend his work.:thumbup:

Amazing quality and craftsmanship at very obtainable price points. Nice fella as well. You will not be disappointed. To Bob W's point: It cuts like a hot knife through butter. Take it out and use it!

My two purchased directly from Dan; great guy and knifemaker IMHO. I love the variety of style and material he uses.:cool:

Regular stag on the little hunter and Sambar stag on the bowie.

Dan is an craftsman and a gentleman, his snakeskin damascus is beautiful, and honeslty I"d love to know where he sources his stag from because it is some of the nicest popcorn-style stag out there.

I missed out on one of his knives, and sent him and email to see if he would be willing to let me know when another would be available, he agreed to and actually sent me several photos of the knife prior to listing it just in case I was interested. Needless to say I snapped it up because he sells them so reasonably.

Nothing but good things to say about this maker.

I haven't bought any but I've drooled over practically every one he's posted and only read good things from buyers.

BUT - isn't this in the wrong subforum? You are asking for information as opposed to providing it, so . . . reviews or general seems more appropriate?

Very nice guy. Talented work at reasonable prices. What is not to like? :D The last knife I purchased from him is in my dad's hands as a father's day gift a few years ago.

Dan Graves is a five Star man. One of the best blade-smiths alive on this planet today, and is a super individual to work with. Knives are superbly built and very reasonable to boot!
