Danbo's haul from Blade

I got to handle all of these knives at the blade show and as nice as they all look, they feal even better in the hand. Dan you got some really nice knives.

Beautiful haul ! Especially that first one by Craig Camerer. He continues to amaze me. Burt Foster's is definitely worth another look. Wow.

Killer looking knives you got from Blade! What is the backdrop - is that a chunk of Amboyna or other burl wood?
 
That killer chunk of wood is what I received in payment, for my first sold knife(that I actually put my name on). Shappa from here on the forums offered me that as payment for a nice little hunter I made him. The piece of wood is California Redwood Burl and is 2' x 2' x 2" thick. Tom had it laying around in his shop for about 20 years, so it should be good and dry. Just need to cut it up and send it off for stabilizing. As you can see, it's solid burl. I thought it would make a great backing for some pics.

Really nice stuff you baught there....that Jason Knight kid is really something ain't it?...well, if you are ever bored of it (ie: the Dale Reif tanto)....you know who is going to buy it from ya'....;) anyway...excellent catch, congrats! :D
