I just looked it up. I joined this forum back in 2010. I was 32, now I 44 and will be 45 in 13 days.

I am approaching porch elder status!

Anyways I just having a middle aged moment.
But here's a knife pic to keep it on topic 😜

Happy Early Birthday to you my very young friend . You are now almost 10 years younger than my youngest child .

Lol I don't complain often (well about physical ailments ;) ). I don't have bad knees or a bad back despite wrestling and soccer in high school and being a vet.
Actually I am probably in better shape than any point since getting out of the military.

But.. nonetheless
I ain't no spring chicken and the decline is approaching. I really gonna need to quit smoking before that becomes a real issue (health wise and financially).

Well I'll be 44 in march, awhile back I complained about a ache to my Dad. He said I wasn't old enough yet to complain, to which I responded "it isn't the age of the truck, its the milage" View attachment 2011328
Old boots, old hat, young knife with an old soul.
My wife would kill me if I laid my boots (or hat) where we eat!

Yeah, old is relating to this…

😱😱 I remember it was not ... "pleasant" ... when mom put that in our cuts, scrapes, and holes from the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 sandburrs AKA: "Goats head" thorns.
I found it ... interesting ... she never used it on her or dad's cuts and scrapes. THEY got to use the Hydrogen Peroxide (H²O²) in the brown bottle. (Supposedly the bottle was brown to prevent the H²O² from decomposing into H²O when exposed to light.)
I do remember H²O² didn't burn like the devils home when applied.

In high school and a few decades after, if I got a cut, I didn't bother with store bought disinfectants. I just went to my car, popped the hood, got a little battery acid from the battery, and put that on the cut. It must have worked. I never got an infection. 😇
(the battery acid was much more pleasant to use than I remember that red stuff being.)

Rsmith_77 Rsmith_77 45?!? "You're still a young whipper-snapper" as my maternal great-great granny (c.1867-1964) used to tell my maternal granny's hubby (1918-1966). 😁

knife content so I don't get in trouble:
