Daniel Defense Kershaw Folder

Shallot and Leek mixed together with a weird tanto swedge thing... at the price for 14C28, I'll pass on this one

looks like a good knife to have when you need to dig shards of metal out of your skin...

no first hand experience with that knife but i'm already disappointed to see daniel defense put their name on that mall ninja knife. ar-15 daniel defense stuff is top notch on the other hand.

Legit.

Being a DD owner and big fan, I'm pretty disappointed they put their name on a Kershaw. An ugly one too.

How the hell does Stag Arms get on a Spyderco Manix 2? lol. Justice has not been served.

Hey Keifer...just so you know, they asked Kershaw to make that knife for hem and THEY redesigned the blade of the Shallot to the pointy style.

I know you love to bash Kershaw...but they are just filling an order for a customer big guy. :)

Mall ninja, or not, I like the design, minus the serrations. Would be nice had DD chosen to go with a 4.0" blade!

I have no doubt that the knife is of typical, great Kershaw quality.

However, if it is Daniel Defense that designed that blade...I think they should stick to ARs.

This thing is ugly.

'Yes. The more pointy design elements and writing a knife has...the better it is for self-defense."
-That pointy knife will pierce better than a drop point
"Its impossible to defend oneself with a satin finished drop point with wood scales. "
I'm thinking of the psychology of an all black knife with an ice pick look to it. It looks like it's designed with one purpose in mind. No need to get snarky with your comments.

You are right. "Scary" looking knives make the bad guys run away screaming like little girls.

And is there a rule about not being snarky? I was unaware of that one.

Yeah, a knife like that would make me a little more nervous if pulled on me than say, a Case sodbuster. Did I say you violated a rule?

True, you didn't say I violated a rule. So I will continue to be snarky at my pleasure.

I have to ask why a "knife like that" would make one a little more nervous. To me, someone pulls that on me, and I think "Bwahaha...mall ninja".

Guy wrist flicks open a Buck 110 or pulls a Sharpfinger on me...then I get nervous. Very nervous.

The vast majority of blade related deaths are from kitchen knives, looks have less than nothing to do with effectiveness. If the other guy has time to assess your 3 1/2" folding blade for 'optical intimidation factor' then you're doing it wrong in the first place. Either brandishing a deadly weapon in front of someone who poses no legitimate threat that justifies the assault, or brandishing one in front of someone already in the act of killing you while you hope that looks win out over action.

The lawyers and legislators agree with you.

only thing i could do without are the serrations.

10-4 on that.

That is the best looking Kershaw design since the Hinderer. Reminds me of an anorexic 0400, sick little knife, I might have to get one.

Oh, wait according to the Kershaw Muffia, I am a basher, nevermind.;)
:D

I really like the look of the knife but as so often, I'm disappointed by the size of the blade. It reminds me of quite a bit of many BM folders. The picture of the knife looks great ... and then you learn the blade is only 3" long.

tell you what if someone pulls a knife like that on me... out goes my rajah. I'm not getting stabbed by some punk.

Does "water under the bridge" mean anything to you? You're creating a dam with comments like that.
