This is a summary of complaints about Daniel Talbot also know as Varulv and others. He has scammed several of our people, with alleged complaints elsewhere on the web matching these.

Please add any other information you have about his activities or location but do not post simply to whine about how you too despise him. Lets keep this professional so it can serve as a source of information that some of those ripped off might be able to take legal action on.

Value: $360 USD, thats $330 for the knife and $30 postage.

Its been 42 days since I paid, no knife.

Just opened the buyer protection paypal/ebay dispute, but I'm not holding my breath.
To be fair there was a payment problem to start with, but I made that good as soon as they explained to me what was going on. I had had a problem with paypal, but they would not answer my questions.
They answered my question very fast when pay pal stopped the payment, but as soon as they answered the questions, I paid 'em.
They have not answered questions since and I have attempted to contact them numerous times, both via ebay message centre and via direct email to the above account.

I gather based on this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=6294563 that it is the same guy/couple.

It's a pity you can't get the account holder's name before you pay, though I'd have to admit I probably would not have before this event.

Or they spent some time building a "legend".
I tend to think that they probably live in La Sarre, because of the way you need to hook up a pay pal account with a bank account or credit card - they usually ask you for your billing address.

Can anyone who speaks French divine any more info about either Katy or Dan from the above page, or friends/links to/on the above page?

I also notice she has a friend, Suzanne Baril (http://fr.netlog.com/suzan47) which is the name dericdesmond sent his payment to, so it really is looking like the same Katy.
 
Well I was surprised buy PayPal buyer protection found in my favour and recovered the full amount.
I believe that this thread and everyone's careful documentation of their experiences may have helped so thanks to all of you for documenting and if anyone else get's burned those email addresses are hopefully now recorded as suspect wit paypal.
 
To make it clear i want to let you know that i'm Daniel Baril or Daniel Talbot,
I did a few dishonest,scam sale,trade here in the past not so long ago but i learned from that & since a few monts i'm not a bad guy anymore a did a few very good trade here with a false name,i used a false name because of my past mistakes.

I want to make it clear that i never tryed to (wack) Neil Ostroff.My CC was declined,i don't know why but i can't see where he has seen a scam???

I would never be able to appologies enough to the good guys i scammed in the past.I wish i could refund them for their lost.If i had the money you can be assurred i would refund them.I don't forget them & i prey God to forgive my
mistakes everyday.

I have an addiction to knives like many here,I bought a membership recently & i have done a few good trade here.

I don't ask you to trust or forgive me & if i deserve another banning fine i accept it.

All my appologies & my best wish for all those who was/are involved in this mess.
 
I forgot to thank Neil for canceling my order,i just but a new Ruger instead of a Sebenza & i'm very happy for this.
 
So you had enough cash to buy a platinum membership and buy knives and guns apparently, but not enough to make right with the people you scammed?:confused::barf: :rolleyes: Edit: Looks like Esav just took out the trash!
 
Ho and the Name & address i use with Gaulois is the name of my brother in law,he is a father,a firefighter a very good guy, he doesn't deserve to get is address spreaded on here.

My address is 22 Avenue Limoge La Sarre.like said before.

I don't hide and i certainly don't plan scamming anyone anymore.

Thanks in advance for respecting a least my brother in law because he deserve it.

If anyone has suspicions, please let me know, we'll ban them again.

Go figure... Most would not hesitate to trade with him, and 5 did trade.
Imagine what would happened to the next guy:(
Oh... men, soon nobody will trade with Canadians, cause you just don't know...

imho most folks running scams have no shortage of nerve/balls/etc, its brains/character/stuff like that they might have a shortage of.

If there was any doubt, this says it all- the brazen cavalier attitude.

Also, he meant to say he just STOLE a new Ruger instead...
 
Just in case any of you are having the slightest notion to feel sorry for this guy and to have any doubt that he is indeed a scumbag and thief,
it should be pointed out that on JD his "mother" had posted that he was so distraught due to his thieving ways that he had committed suicide last year.

May he stay banned............................................but he won't, he will try as many times as Uncle Jarvis.

Sounds like he needs some jail time.............
