Dannyv, not so good......

Just got an e-mail from DannyV and he has confirmed he was refering to someone else. I will let him post the correct name himself. :grumpy:

a lynch mob. I never expected this much from so many!! Bad guy, If you are not the name of the guy I emailed you, I am truly sorry 1 Everybody, please blame it all on me!!Actually I did look at the knife, played with and, but I would never touch or redo a $700.00 knife from Tom Mayo!!I tend to redo less expensive knives but only if I intend to keep it. I make mistakes but not stupid ones. So guys, keep your noose! I am still waiting for the knife to come back. I already emailed Tom and I will send it to him to look at, as I know he is a fair man. I am just sorry the buyer could not wait a few hours for me to answer him as I do not sit on my computer all day. I am not that blatant as to sell a $700.00 knife that is that badly defective, would you?? :barf:

Bad Guy( change your name as you are not really a bad guy... joke) I will post the name as soon as i get the knife back. Like so many, I rather would not jump to conclusions too soon. Offhand, Bad Guy, do you know the the guy I named( do not answer on the forum)?By the way, if whoever sold me this knife is reading this please contact me as I do not want to vulgarize this issue. Please keep the name I gave you,Bad Guy.

Dannyv, I am not familiar with the name you e-mailed me nor anyone in that region of Virginia. However if you did receive that knife damage as stated, I really think you should post the correct persons name. I understand you not wanting to jump the gun however that does not explain why you chose me to post above. Where did you get TheBadGuy from?? Just because I live in VA??

Bad Guy. I now know the seller and emailed him. He is also from Virginia and his name is similar to your. After I straighten things out I will tell you why I thought it was you. I hope this will end here as I feel I have ruffled enough feathers.. I will be giving all of Jaidens money back and my sincerest apology. I bought it from a guy who also advertized ut as brand new and unused !I hope this is THE END:o

I am sorry to bring our business here Dannyv, but you did not respond to my email until 11:00pm your local time. I just think this needs to get done in a timely manner. I am not rich either, that is why I "flipped out" when I open the package. No harm done.

So please expidite my money order when you recieve the knife.
Regards,
Beau:)
(jaiden is my son:D )

Beau. guess I got mad myself when you said knife was bad. Not at you but how I got a bad knife. I already contacted the seller who sold it to me as" brand new and unused".Waiting to hear from him. I will send mo asap. I bought this not as a user but becuase of its value and rarity(hard to get).I am sure you did too. Anyway, let's let it go as it is now my problem. The guy that sold it sounds to be an honest guy as he is always on the forum, so hope for the best for me. Danny

Man, that's some story. This "mystery seller" kinda reminds me of Bushy-Haired Strangers, Canadian Girlfriends and Little-Brothers-Who-Logged-On-With-My-User-Names.

I will say this..I have dealt(edit a speling errer) with The Bad Guy..and the knife he shipped me was EXACTLY OR EVEN BETTER than he described..also he shipped asap..and when or If I need a knife and TBG is selling it..I would buy from him before all others..

nuf said..

Thanks for the kind words Ren! They say that its not how you act during the successful transactions, but how you take care of the unsuccessful deals. Either way, you should have to at least be involved in the darn thing to begin with right? :p

Honest case of mistaken identity I suppose. No harm, No foul;)

Once the accusations start flying, all kinds of people end up looking bad. We really have to give each other time to get in touch before taking problems public. For someone to be away from a computer or their phone for a day or two shouldn't be grounds for a lynching.

I've done two deals with Danny, and both were excellent. One of them took a long time to get to me. I could have worried. I could even have come here to GBU. But it was the post office that took a week longer in transit than it should. When the knife arrived, the postmark matched the day Danny had said he shipped it.

A cheap knife can be trashed and nobody can do anything about it. But a TNT can probably be restored to as-new condition.

Peace! please ... :D

Ed ! And you too, Jason. I really am at a bind here as I feel the knife I sent out was not in that condition. Could the USPS have anything to do with it ? The buyer I am sure is well known for getting custom knives and I am sure some mailman are also knife afficionados. Now, I am not blaming the post office but just some possibilities. The guy said the knife was not sharp, but I know for a fact that it was very sharp and the logos were distinct! Anyway, Tom said to send the knife over to him.I thank you for that ,Tom!! I am returning the money and will just keep the knife. Also, I stated in my earlier statements that I really did not look the knife over very well. I did but not with a microscope, if you know what I mean. Hope this will be the last of this issue (knowing at least I have few guys behind me)!!!!

No one at the Post office is gonna beat a knife and then put it back into the shipping system. The chances of it getting stolen far outweigh the chances of someone in a post Office setting taking the TNT out of it's packaging, using it hard and then re-packaging it. The odds of this happening are astronomical [ read never].............

right ! Just clutching at straws , I guess.I was thinkin more of substituting the knife for an older one, but a Mayo TNT ?....no way ,huh?

Dannyv,
When you get it back from Tom it will be better than new and you won't want to sell it.

I will back up what Ren said. I have delt with TBG is the past and NEVER had any problems. I was surprised when I saw his name thrown out as it was highly uncharacteristic of how my deals went. I just hope that. I would not hestitate to deal with him in the future.
