Well i have seen a dark op knife. A friend of mine is a cop and he ordered one and he showed it to me.

after looking at the knife we must all put our previous views behind us and firmly think of the knives as tactical only. EDC is out of the question. the knives are large.

the knife is solid and very smooth. The smoothness is the biggest surprise to me. for being such a large knife you could pop it out one handed.

the handle material is about the same as a kershow blur. the main difference is the dark op has bigger grit particle. meaning the kershaws (sand?) is finer. over all the grip was very good. larger guys will find the handle comfortable but girly hands may find it big.

the knife felt sharp. just as sharp as any other regular production knife.

over all i would say the knife would suit any one who likes it just fine. it really is a big knife. just use it for tactical use and you would probably like it.

someone wise told me "the best knife for the job is the one that is in your hand when the time comes" if you have one iin your hands and it does the job than great but if you have something else in your hand than great also.

just my observation. i am not taking sides just stating my opinion. hope you all make your own opinions and don't just agree with me.

Or we could just pretend that this over hyped company never exsisted.

Yep, that seems to be the ticket.

One time I pulled out my carry knife to help someone open a package, and this girl said, "Does that make you feel like a man?"

I was angry at her misconception, but I'm more angry that there are companies selling machismo products that make peoples' misconceptions worse. So while I'm sure they're okay knives, I will not support them.

I am curious how their self-described slurry-pot-hybrid steel performs, but I'm not curious enough to give them money.

Really? I was always under the impression that they were ideal for performing cornea surgery or buttering bread.

Well, cornea surgery sure, after all they do have the special blood grooves, but buttering bread? Now you're just being silly. ;)

I would agree with you completely.

In the old days, the correct answer to that question would have been instantaneous-"SMACK"(backhand).-Not that I am advocating violence towards women, just towards morons.

Nowdays, you are left with: "why do you ask? feeling like switching to an outie?" or: "No, but my $#@*% and *@##$ do"

People are dumb. The Sad fact is, Dork Ops might sell knives, because of people who would answer "yes" to that girls' question.

There is no shortage of kids who want to look and feel badass- but those people are usually really dumb and get Frost Cutlery/Kit Rae quality knives and such. I am hoping Dork Ops has too high a price point to attract these people. We can only hope
:D

Man, I hope these turn out to be decent knives and I bet they will be and a lot more so all the people badmouthing em will finally get a chance to shut up.
There was alot of controversy about their ads and they are ridiculous but like I said it before, I'll say it again, if anyone takes their advertisement for real, they need to have their head examined. It's like those ridiculous suv commercials.

Suv commercials? Like the one where it has specially designed wheels for running over people, and bullet proof cup holders with drain holes for tactical spill relief? Dont forget the quartz- encrusted Aramid Composite steering wheel with textured finger grooves to help orient the wheel in pitch darkness, and the teflon coated running boards and mudflaps with deep channels to control puddle spray. ?? Yeah that one- the Denimatordeluxoslaughter-fest 9000- nice SUV, killed dozens of Al qaeda last week and my grill still doesnt need sharpening! What an awesome rig! :D :p

I think we need to send a Dork Ops to Cliff Stamp so he can figure out just how awful they are, because as somebody once said, "Men like charts".

If I saw one in a store, I'd look at the knife, maybe hold it, but after that I'd probably change stores.

Does being helpless and needing a man around make you feel like a lady?

LOL you guys are terrible!

But yes, Dork Ops bites the big one.

Maybe if they changed it so 15 year olds could buy knives online, then they would sell?
