Dark OPS Knives anyone heard anything?

"...cryogenic hardening allows for medical grade edge sharpness while avoiding the brittleness of high Rockwell hardness! ..."

Dark Ops knives are so sharp, they scare the edge right off the blade.

Just for fun we could all send a buck to someone and have them pick one up and start a passaround? With hundreds of members a buck a piece should be all thats needed.

I'm tired, so if this is stupid be gentle.

You're tired, but that's OK. :D We're all so happy to be back here, you can say anything you like.

How much money does it take to buy a non-existent knife?

I would use special BF money with 1000X the purchasing power of real money. The only money used by the elite special forces money spenders. It has special wallet grooves to let you spend it quicker, plus a proprietary coating to reduce friction going into and out of a cash register.

Ok so that isn't one of my best ideas. But eventually someone will do a review I hope. Just to see the Pics of the knife after a good test run would be cool.

Surprised with all thier advertising DOs hasn't been in tactical knives. I'd think the guys there would like a crack and tossing the knives to a good tester.

I'M surprised with all their advertising, they still haven't actually made any knives.

Maybe their ad dept. spent so much money they also blew the production budget?

Perhaps they're waiting for pre-orders? I think they'd sell more if they used the phrase "tactial cambat knives." :)

Since I'm no longer in the military, I don't really need to de-animate anyone.
What I need these days is a knife designed for RE-animation. Maybe built in defib paddles, epi, and some O2.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

No, no, don't apologize. Since they haven't actually built any yet, there's still time to add in those features.

I read somewhere that they are in the process of being sued by Extrema Ratio for blatant design copy, and that's why there are no knives. Anyone else heard about this, and is it true?

What is Truth? :D

They supposedly had a few ready to show at Blade, before ER decided to go for legal action.

I've heard of living on the edge, but this is ridiculous! :p

LOL! :D

I need one right now. I need to (ahem) de-animate my mail.

You gotta understand that the knives are being marketed by Pyramont, same guys who do BHI, MOD, Hydrastorm, and all those flashy products. Even the ads look the same. I'm sure the actual knives aren't bad, but Pyramont seems to think its main market is 13 year old boys.

Ed, I'm not too clear on this so if I am wrong let me know. It seems to me that you are trying to tell us that Dark Ops hasn't made any knives as of yet. Am I right? ;)
