Has anyone handled one of these? Everytime I see one of their fixed blades I just wanna jump to the top of Castle Greyskull and scream " I HAVE THE POWER!!!":jerkit:
Whats with the CTV2XJ..WTFE steel, is it good? Just curious if anyone has hands on exp.
P.S, For all the people who replied to my "Aint never had no Spyderco" thread, Ive orded a Delica 4. TX 4 the help.
P.S.S, I think the dark-ops Black raven looks kinda cool (that should keep my dick dry for at least a year).
P.S.S.S, If anyone should find Franks brain, please return it to its proper vessel.

Personally I think Dark Ops just look too goofy. They look like they are from Battlestar Gallactica or something.

I don't care how good or bad they may be I could never use a knife that is so busy. It looks too busy.

The future of knives, no.

"The future of knife-ban legislation," I'd believe that.

By credible accounts, the knives are not bad. They're ER designs rewarmed. But they're not half they're hyped to be and they aren't worth half of the prices they're asking.

Their advertising is inflamatory and an embarrasment to the knife community. Their ads basically undo all that many of us have tried to do for years.

I've also said before that if you ever do have to use a knife in a civilian self-defense situation, the name of the knife and how it is advertised and sold could very well be used as part of the case against you. The why of why you chose to buy and carry the knife you did could become part of the case against you. If could go toward establishing your mindset. If you choose a Dark Ops knife, you are choosing to carry all of that advertising and all of that hype and that whole image into court with you. There are so many good and great knives out there that don't carry that extra baggage, that I can't see why anyone would choose to take the legal risk that necessarily comes with carrying a Dark Ops knife.

Looks to me like they are trying to create the same feel as the Busse Combat website only wilder designs. no go for a new company in my opinion. Just my 2 cents

Haven't handled one but from the buzz re other forumites Dark Ops has a reputation for "de-animating" enemy opponents quite nicely. ;)

I handled the Stratofighter folder recently at a local knife store and was quite surprised to see that it was an extremely solid knife with a very good fit and finish. The lock-up was excellent and had zero blade play.

The Ads are definitely over the top but in spite of all the hoopla they appear to be decent knives but way overpriced, imho.

What about their "Strategically placed blood grooves to control blood spray in covert deanimation activities"?

I couldn't disagree more. Busse knives are serious knives that have and will prove themselves against any others. Jerry Busse has legitmate bragging rights. Few others do.

Blood grooves don't concern me as I'm sure I can run much faster than the speed of wildly spewing blood spray. :D :D

(BTW, I said they "appear" to be decent knives but don't take that as an indication that I would actually buy one of these things. Definitely, not my style)

Sorry about this thread guys, was up a little to late, drank a little to much, and MUST have thought I was funny (Im no Larry David).

I know a guy who has a dork ops knife and it appears to be a very well made knife an its has a good lockup and good ergos but I would never get one. He was bragging how somebody tested this knife and it was able to cut up Benchmades and other knives, I asked him where he got his info and he said some guy at BQM told him that.:jerkit: I also have major doubts about the steel. And they are also ripping of Extrema ratio. And there are also plenty of better knives out there for less money so I will skip Dork Ops. Oh yeah this same guy before was a big fan of Cold steel and before DO he thought they were like the best. Well enough of that,

I don't know anything about the quality, but with a blade that looks to be about an inch wide at the most, and is a 1/4" thick, they must cut like crap.

I suppose that doesn't matter when all you are cutting is human flesh though. :jerkit:

I've seen more :jerkit: smilies in this thread than any other outside W&C or the Political Arena... for good reason. Anyone remember the Stratofighter review that was posted earlier? An absolute disaster of a knife?

Dork Ops knives look like ER knives, but I doubt the approach the same quality, and frankly, I think they must be physically painful to use.

I'm surprised someone actually got one. As far as I knew they existed only as little pictures on the internet and maybe in a catalogue. I'd never heard of a dealer actually having received any before this thread. I have to admit I did kind of like the design of the Basal shadow when it first came out, before they re-did it. Not sure I'd actually buy one though.

Yea, I think they should call them "Dork Ops":thumbdn:

They had one for sale in Arlington's Parks Mall "The Knife Shoppe" last time I was there if Texans want to go give them a whirl.

I wouldn't mind, but I try to only play with knives I'm legitimately considering buying at some time...and I'm just not going to pay that much for one, even if it were up to the hype...

Their advertising dose nothing but harm to the knife community:mad: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit:
