Sorry to hear about your dog. Any maker or brand that wants me to join their super secret clubhouse before I can buy a knife can get lost real fast. I would say you haven't lost anything and you've had something important revealed before you spent money with them.
 
If you listened to everything said on this thread, you may get a negative view of what that group is about. Hopefully, you come to your own decisions and get in there to make your own decisions. :)

I own several of Peter's knives from Customs to Midtechs, they are excellent knives, made by an excellent knife maker.

I know the group as well, great bunch of guys and dolls, they do a lot for each other and for the knife community in general.

I'm a member of the Dark Timber Brotherhood and I have to agree with everything Zombie Zeke stated. Peter is a great guy and he is very humble to talk to. You don't have to be a member of the Dark Timber Brotherhood in order to buy a midtech as they are sold through DLT Trading and Knives Ship Free. You didn't even need to be a member before Peter closed his books to order a custom knife from him because I wasn't when I first reached out to him to place my custom knife order.
 
Hezekiah reached out to me and explained that my new Facebook looked sketchy and after speaking with him he got me in. Like I said from the outset I wasn't trying to talk down the group, just wanted to know what the deal was. Yea, sucks about my dog and that's probably why everything is just getting to me this week. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Hopefully we can just let this thread die out.

Sounds like an incredibly judgmental statement to be made about people (or a group in it's entirety) that you have not a clue about. Great people in there, who go out of their way to help their "brothers", not a single thing wrong with that. If you're judging a group so harshly based off of a name, it's probably not the right type of group for you anyways.
