If I ever compile a list of Good Guys to deal with, Darrel will be in the great guy catagory.

I recently bought an EDC and was very happy with it. The only thing, I wanted tip up carry. I was going to send it back to Darrel to do this. However, I know he is busy so I decided I would do the work myself. I didn't see this as a problem as I have moved clips on knives before. So i went at it. Everything went smoothly until I had to clean a burr out of one of the holes I just tapped. I couldn't get to it with anything but the tap. So, I ran the tap back in and this is when everything fell apart. Up until this point, I was being extremely cautious. I guess I felt like the work was done and i could relax. Because, that was when i broke the tap in the handle. I didn't have the means to get the tap out, so the knife went back to Darrel. No fuss, no muss. I will have the EDC back on Thursday. It would have been sooner except my timing caught Darrel in the midst of the Thanksgiving holiday. Darrel handled this like Dillon does with their presses. No BS.

Thanks Darrel!

Hi Dirk... Darrel is a stand-up maker! He always stands behind his knives, and I think he coined the saying... The customer is always right! Much Kudo's to Darrel!

I've bought several knives from Darrel over the past couple of years and have enjoyed doing business with the man, he never rests until the customer is happy with their purchase. He is definitely good people and a class knifemaker. I am honored to count him as one of the many friends I have in this industry.

BTW, he is also one of the select few who are good, bad, AND ugly at the same time
