Dave Hallmark aka Plummer Dave

Dave is in my Thoughts and Prayers, He was always so very kind and willing to give his vast knowledge of Buck Knives. God bless you Dave.

I am sorry to see this.

I always enjoyed his posts as they were quite informative, especially for the pictures too!

Rest in peace Dave and thanks for being here for all us Buck nuts. It was a pleasure to see your posts.

Dave our blessed friend the heavenly Father called you home, you touched so many hearts here on this forum, know that you will be truly missed.

Smoke and prayers sent to the Hallmark family.

Gonna miss my friend "the old one eyed pipefitter" as he would describe himself. He sounded pretty good on phone a couple weeks ago, but shortly after had a bad turn. We will miss him much. The Lord gives us a time to live and a place to die. He did his best to really live. A great man, a greater friend, a great heart and now a great loss. Go my friend to where the blades are always sharp and your bolsters never tarnish. God bless.

Dave was the 1st person to friend me when I got on the forum here. He truly was a Buck guy all the way. He had the Buck family attitude with all on here. I will truly miss you my friend. Rest in peace.
Harold

Dave sure knew his stuff and was glad to share that knowledge, he was quite the foundation of this forum.

California Dave was a renaissance man who enriched those around him.

When I stumbled upon a huge and bizarre-looking turtle while on a walk in a bird refuge during a rain storm I sent him cell phone photos and he identified it immediately as a snapping turtle (I am lucky to still have all my fingers and toes and yes that is a 424 on the turtle's back for scale). An invasive species I'd never seen in Oregon before. It turned our that he was a moderator on a turtle forum. He said that one of the most common, and distasteful to him, questions on the forum was what sort of Tupperware made the best habitate for turtles. He advocated for healthier living conditions. I wish that I could have seen Dave's turtles and heard about them from him.

When I put up some of my photos of wild owls taken in this neck of the woods Dave fired back enthusiastically with terrific photos of owls that he and his lovely wife had raised. For those of you that have seen the products of his photographic skill you know how good his photo talents were. I would love to see a slide show of his 100 best photos. Real treasure.

I count myself very lucky to have met Dave online. You do anything challenging, like sports, you improve your own talent by playing against those that can beat you. He was a player that could push you to the next level because he worked so hard at improving his own talents an skills. Just look at one of his photos and see what I mean. He was a consummate high achiever.

I hope that Dave's photos will continue to be hosted for a great many years in order to be viewable by members and enthusiasts. Thank you for considering Dave's audience to those in control of his images.

Please post any photos you would be so kind as to share with us of Dave's life, him, his turtles, his cutlery and such. Thank you kindly.
