A little hike and some nice pictures of a dayhike. Made a figure four trap on a break. Getting ready for Mt Whitney and the Grand Canyon.

Nice pictures.

Oakwilde Campground in the Angeles Nat'l. Forest, huh? I know it well. Used to go deer hunting up there when I lived in L.A. Killed a couple up off those ridges, too.

Thanks for the pictures. I have some fond memories of running around the San Gabriels. I love the hidden little rock pools and waterfalls that form as the rivers cascade down steep slopes. Nice job on the figure 4, too.

Thanks that is only 10 min. break Figure Four. Yes the San Gabriels. I didn't know they were popular. Ever hear of Lytle Creek?

Great pics! I love Angeles NF, its a great place to practice skills and the scenery is awesome.

You are right about practicing skills. There are lots of places on the trail to turn off and get away for some woods time.

I could go for a hike. I wouldn't even need a knife, just a snow shovel.:grumpy::mad:
