Day Hike Figure Four and a Knife

Well Hollow I don't want to say becouse I know some of you out there are in winter still.....but yes it is getting warm sorry.

nice area, very nice photos.

that pic of the figure four is very good, i think i finally understand how the joints work. thanks:thumbup:

Very nice spot! Nice blade choice as well, I know it's all I need but I feel I have to spend 10 times the cost on many knives. Ah well, gotta spend it someplace!

Sweet pics man! I'm sure you had someone ask you this a million times, but what kind of mora is that?

Grew up in Fontana. My family used to go up to Lytle Creek every weekend. Hell yeah, those were great times and COLD water. Great pics

Awesome pics man, looks like a nice place to take a walk! Gene

cmgray, I was just in Lytle Creek last sat. went up toward commanche camp. Snow up there now still left on the northface.

Nice hike....and pics! I'm slowly practicing those figure four traps. of course, being a junior in high school limits my schedule....

Cool starting young I wish I was doing bushcraft in high school. Just make sure the top stick is thicker since it will support most of the weight. A good way to remember how many cuts is always think of two cuts/notches per stick. If that makes any sense.

hey bear i went outside yesterday afternoon with a printout of your pic and finally got the fig four to work. thanks for the great pic! very helpful

Ok here it is. There might be some knives in the picture.
