Hi Dave,
Sounds like you have a new partner for knife making. Of course your partner has a girl friend now. I had one that I married 37 years ago, and still going strong. He might get side tracked for awahile. I raised two girls - kept me on my toes.
I have a 15 year old grandson, Jesse James M., who I hope will take to knife making. What a perfect time to start. By the time he's twenty he could be a master. I believe if he started this early he could make a good living, knifemaking, by the time he needs to.
I didn't believe he was interested (in anything other than girls), but the last time I saw him he asked if I would help him make a cane sword with a cobra head. I hope it continues. At fifteen nothing seems permenant or important.
We all get bogged down at times. We just need to take a good look at what's important to us, clean up the commitments - even if they aren't something we like doing - prioritize, and buy out the time to do the things important to us.
Nice to hear you have lots of good things lined up. Don't let the dreams fade, bring them on home.
Sounds like fun days are just around the corner for you. Good fortune.
Harry
