Dayhike shoulder bag/kit: yet another...

J- You ain't kidding about the stress part! But I'm trying to make sure we're both having fun with it, which is one reason to make it next year. I just tell her if she's ever finding it's not fun for her, to just step back and relax.

IS that a sil-tarp in the green bag?

It's a mil-type nylon poncho.

Ever think of adding a slightly larger blade? Just curious why you only have a small bladed knife, most people carry a larger one for chopping and such and a smaller for more tedious tasks.
Very nice kit though, what bbl length is the pistol?

My blades usually change with my mood, but there are a few main 'users' that I cycle between. The F1 is the current fav. If I'm out for a dayhike and potentially an overnight, the F1 and farmer will be enough to be quite comfortable. I might also throw in a fiskars sliding saw though.

If it's definitely an overnight or longer, I'll toss in my Fiskars hatchet or my kabar bowie.

The 22/25 has a 5" barrel. Fun pistol.

Thats a good plan man, cause the chicas really take that stuff serious. Givin yourself a long time will ensure less stress, and a truely perfect day for you both......
