Deal with Scuba69

A buyer that just doesn't like the knife he bought isn't a grievance in my opinion. Relist it and move on. Everything he claimed was an original manufacture issue not this sellers.

I can now see that the conversation was not polite and tactful. Being rude and threatening to another person usually makes them hunker down and become stubborn about compromising or even considering another’s point of view.

doesn't work like that my friend. You asked several of us the best way forward, and when it was provided, you balked. Instead, you sought our assistance while trying to pass off the knife you said you suspected of being a fake to another member via the Exchange.

Only when I called you on it and asked you what was more important, your honor or getting back your money from another member who you'd be selling a "suspicious" knife to, did you relent, pull the ad and post here.

Says all I need to know.

Seems like this could be one of those posts that doesn't work out the way the OP thought it would. 🤔

Threaten someone by posting pics of their house over a $200 Knife that you are not happy with? Are you f serious?

Heh, yet another Feedback thread where the OP trashes a seller, only come to find out HE'S the one who belongs on the "Do Not Do Business With" list.

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgI received my Beaufort this evening and I have no problems with it. The serrations are plenty sharp as they are meant for ripping and the edge may not be the sharpest; however a knife designed for actual combat shouldn’t have a shaving sharp edge. Plus a double edged blade with stock as as thick as this would be hard pressed to reach crazy sharp without some unusually tall bevel.

I don’t see how OP is claiming anything about the finish being spray painted as the finish, although not perfect, is uniform across the blade.

I’m happy with the purchase especially for the $200 I spent. My dealing with Scuba69 was exactly as I expected for someone with as much positive feedback as him - smooth, pleasant with quick shipping.

Good man.

Y’all convinced me to post this grievance, now you take his “implied threat” BS and run with it. Thanks buddy! I don’t threaten anyone, implied or otherwise. $200 ain’t going to make me lose any sleep, and if you moderators had not kept steering me towards posting a grievance, I never would have. I have had a few knives and I know junk from a decent quality blade. This is a cheap knife. Not even close to being worth $200, let alone the manufacturer claimed $325 value. Post anything you want here, I won’t be back to read it. You sell something online and they see knife in hand it’s not what they expected, you should return their money.
Don’t leave mad…but definitely leave.

Lemme make sure I’m getting this right; dude thought he received a phony and then tried to sell it on the exchange THEN questioned the integrity of the vendor and that of yourself? Then he comes here to complain? It just sounds too ridiculous to be true even after reading the thread multiple times.

Welcome to my world.

(Of course, coming from an LEO background, I'm used to people saying it was all my fault. LOL.)

Been there. Especially on domestic calls.
So did the OP ban himself or something? Can’t go to his profile to see what else he was up to.

My simple 2 cents...

I have purchased more blades from this particular Seller than from any other single Seller on this forum, probably somewhere in the 35-40 blades range... including one of each of these Lotar Combat models (I received a preview). In my experience, his integrity is beyond reproach. I also recently received these two Lotar Combat knives, and do not feel that they are anything but authentic. Maybe these blades aren't the Buyer's bag, and that's ok, but these accusations are baseless. I am certain that if this matter had been handled differently (without the accusations), an amicable resolution would have been offered.

My thoughts, for what they're worth.

Enjoy your evening, everyone.
The buyer did not like the knife he received, but he didn’t have the experience to quietly and politely resolve the issue. Perhaps he should have done more research before buying Lotar Combat knives, as there are others who have doubts about them. The seller is highly rated and sells a variety of knives that buyers are happy with, including these unusual styles marketed as combat knives. He did not do anything wrong.
I myself have doubts about the Lotar story, and believe them to be primarily a clever marketing company that knows how to attract certain buyers, but that is just my opinion.
