Once or twice or three times I've REALLY really wanted a blade and a faster smarter, richer fish got there first. I had to laugh at myself; almost 50 year old kid deflated cause he didn't get the shiny thing he wanted.
but it was.....so shiny.

Seriously, I truly don't mind (too much!) being outsharked by someone who I know truly appreciates the blade, but it drives me nuts when someone with 3 posts snags a one-of-a-kind jewel and then says he doesn't know anything about "kuks" and is going to give it to his Great Uncle Quigley for a wall hanger, or is going to use it to dig potatos or something.![]()

But, as I have said before, it must have been meant for him, and everyone has to start somewhere!

aproy1101 said:Here in Atlanta ebony is $100 per board foot. A board foot is a one inch thick piece of wood that is 12"x12". That handle would almost double the cost of the khukuri!!!
Krull said:Lookit me:had an urge to start on my real khuk collection;had a couple hundred bucks sitting in my pocket;and then that '25 chit came along-nobody clamed it and it honestly took me by the neck and screamed "BUY ME!"![]()
Now I'm keeper of one 'ell of a khuk and a bad case of HIKV![]()
Will get more prettys later..yes we will...he-he.
