Yah. Did that. Flaw was after 3pm I figured she wasn't posting today, so I stepped away to look for a coworker. When I came back, DOTD had been up 2 minutes already, 2 minutes too late. I sent pre-cooked email, but was too late. I can see I'll have to grow some bigger fins.

Fix would be to get bladeforums to allow one to get individual emails whenever any new post or reply is submitted, like when you subscribe to a thread. I would then use my Yahoo address, which can notify me using Messenger whenever I get new email. That would do it. Or if Yangdu could post all future DOTD under the same thread...but that would become a very long and confusing thread wouldn't it?

PS don't get fired or divorced, thats the trick.

Yeppers. Just as the DOTD came up the first time, my lead and some other guys from the office walked by and stopped dead in their tracks. My lead blurted out "God, that's a gorgeous knife!" I think he was referring to the D-handle. If he'd said it any louder, I think I may have been called in and questioned about going postal.

Yea walking away is always a bad idea. I don't like to blink for those three hours a day. Don't look to fix the system. Once you score a DOTD you won't want it changed. Nobody here wants it changed either. It is just too dang much fun this way. The knives find the right owners, and you'll get one. I got one last week after the DOTD had been posted for a few hours. You just gotta watch closely and refuse to hesitate. Once you hold your first HI khuk you won't see the point of hesitation anyway. They are that good!!!!!!!!! :thumbup:

I have no hardware to take pics yet.
Besides the BAS right now I have 12" AK, Kumar Karda, 15" AK, 17" villager BGRS, and a 20" villager sirupati.

I don't think so, no need for additional worry. That post was the reason I decided to mail him though. Its pretty obvious his diet was seriously affecting his health last semester. He has mentioned feeling somewhat homesick. I think he is in Latvia and its flat. He misses the mountains. He is also very proud of his father's knives. He offered to help me with forging advice. Nice kid really.

I'm not Steve but you have a *Resounding Yes* from me. The less mentioned about Steve's generosity on the forums the better. Actually it would be nice if you guys could go back and edit your own posts with any reference to Steve and what he is doing on them.
We all know Steve is doing a great and wonderful service and we don't wish to see any trouble headed Steve's way out of hand by everyone talking about it on BFC, okay?!?!?

WOW now I know what all the fuss is over Neem. My sword came today and I am VERY happy with it. The wood is pretty, blade zombie ready and the aroma is awesome!
