Deals for 3/27 -- Pix and five beauties

I guess I'd (respectfully) differ. Size and materiials appear different, as well as the HI version appearing considerably thicker in the blade and being forged. There are also apparent grind differences. Although the inspiration of the Sharpfinger is undeniable, I don't think anyone would mistake one for the other.

Well, obviously the size, as I mentioned, and materials are different, so I guess I should have qualified my statement. It appears to me to be a 3/4 size version of the sharpfinger made to Nepali specs.

I had a SF years ago in the late 70's and traded it, and wish now I had kept it. It had a slightly grooved plastic handle with a reddish tinge to it, but not sure of the exact composition.

Thanks,

Norm

Hey! Ya'll are using that "Go to first unread post" button too much...

Nasty that is the meanest looking colonostopy device I've ever seen. Wash your hands after use. That is nasty.

"You asked...this is the R1...it arrived in today's mail with a lovely note from Yangdu!"

I know a Rabbi that would just love that thing!

I tried it a bit last night...anything you could reasonably call a "stick" simply separates with a single swipe. I had a log of about the right diameter to match the radius of the blade as a backer and had a bit of fun treating the wood as if it were a celery stick under a chef's knife. Of course, the celery was oak and up to about 2" in diameter.

Chop, chop, chop...

It also worked wonderfully for delimbing...

I've been requesting a Sharpfinger-based knife for a while. I'm really glad to see it- looks great! I hope the one I get has an all-wood handle, though...
