Deals for 4/4 --Pix, Falcata, Teardrop Khukuri and usual great buys

Is that a pretty good spine curvature on this Teardrop Khukri Mr's Bawanna and Bookie? You two are better than live at five and much more fun to hear from.

Do the kami's also do the carving? Could someone tell me the significance of the figures on the Falcata?

Thank you

Yangdu told me the kami's do the carving on their handles, I imagine the Sarkis do the carving on the sheath. I can't say that's the gospel truth, Yangdu would surly have an solid answer.
I don't know significance either but they sure did a first rate job on it. It's amazing. Really like to look at that on in person.

Email sent on the Bowie set. Man can only stand so much temptation and then caution and marriage is right out the window.

Love the look of the big Bowie and really want to see Anil's interpretation of the MMB. He does good stuff, I got a hunch it's gonna be a winner.

I'll of course blabber mouth a report when it's in hand.

Now to maybe sell the riding lawn mower to get the other two, Falcata and Teardrop. Be a fine happy day till the grass gets knee high, then we'll deal with that bridge when it comes time to cross it.

Great grab, Bawanna! I've also been eyeing that bowie, because the blade has such great lines. But I already have two of that size AKB, and I've already bought 4 other HI blades in the last month - I thought that I was starting to get over the HIKV, but noooooooo...

Congrats Bawanna, truly awesome score!!!!

You, old timer, knows there's no cure, just meetings, :)

Bawanna,

Feeling your pain in regards to the temptation for the Falcata and Teardrop Khukri, I EMS'd for both. We shall see how things shake out. I just couldn't watch a brother suffer. Only Auntie knows how the cards were delt.

I wanna come to your house for visitation. Far as I know they were still up for grabs.

You one lucky dude.

Oh Deer!! That Falcata and that carved sheath...WoW! is just awesome! This DOTD is one of the best Ive seen in a long time. That Teardrop and that AKB is killer! Grats Mr. B! You did well! Good luck BB! I envy that one sir!

No need to envy, you've posted many of your treasures! Many are drool worthy and then some. All said, I had to have that sheath as well as that beautiful example of the Falcata. I started working with Auntie months ago about the Teardrop Khukri. The first few came through as giant Bura Hanshees less the teardrop fuller. They fine tuned things since. I first wanted near the original dimensions, 24 inches and 45 ounces. However, one inch shorter and six ounces lighter, I consider a good thing. We shall see.

Wow BigBore, that's the most impressive Falcata I've ever seen - the Kumar Falcata that I have is 22 inches and 41 ounces, but it has a standard scabbard, nothing like that carved masterpiece. You really stepped up to the plate, EMSing for both the Falcata and the Teardrop!

Nice ones! I just noticed that the MMB doesn't have a cho! Looking forward to seeing how you might modify that little knife. Also hoping to hear what your colleagues at the police department think of that big one! (I predict more sales for Auntie.)

Well gosh durn it, I didn't notice the missing cho! You got a good defining eye there Mr. Tall.
I almost asked if auntie would break the set and just sell me the larger bowie at a slightly reduced price but I really wanted to see Anil's take on the little bowie.

I love the lines and overall look of the big one, reminds of a nice Bura somebody around here had, Ndog I'm pretty sure has one or even two but he wouldn't send me one.

Hopefully I'll see them Friday if Aunties magic delivery service works as usual.

Received DD on the Teardrop Khukri and Falcata! Time for the happy dance albeit more like an undulation than a dance.

Wow, congrats to both of you!! Was holding off on posting cuz I didn't wanna jinx anything. Thank heavens I just paid rent and am broke or I woulda got the Falcata on Monday. That sheath alone is worth it, and the cool steel just a bonus!

Came to the party a little too late to get my mitts on those bowies. Read through the first page and couldn't believe they were still here. Oh well, that's $200 to spend on other knives!

I do have a few of them Buras. Im thinkin thats why i like that one so much. The micro looks more like Bhaktas than Mins. I like the recurve that Bhakta put in his myself but some like Mins for the ease of sharpening and lack of recurve? I guess this Anil one will be third Gen. I like the looks of it so far. More pics please when you get it MR. B:thumbup:

Speaking of Bhakta, there haven't been any of his blades posted in a DOTD for a long time - I'm thinking since before the earthquake? Did he leave H.I. after the eathquake?
