Grrr... Bills were all due this week. Really want an FF or YCS one of these days soon. But not today. Feh.

Bills will be there next week too. you won't find a YCS cheaper!!

Counting down mentally for the Gelbu Special.

Someone please beat me to it.
Please. Anyone.

I think I hear something- nope, that's the echo in my empty wallet.

Don't let Soupah buy that Gelbu!

There I go again. I looked again and my hands sent an e-mail on the Sirupati by Bura before I could stop them. Oh well.

That's definitely the cheapest YCS I've ever seen, and looks to be a good one too. Pointy, curvy, and traditional bolster. I'll send mail if it doesn't go to some other lucky person soon. I've got 4 of them, I can wait a bit to see who else wants what IMHO is HI's best model.

That GS is also very interesting. Weight is a bit more than normal I think (at least I have a couple 18" which are about 1oz per inch), but from the pic the fullers look pretty deep. If it is thicker than normal, with the nice deep fullers, it should be an awesome performer.

Congrads to whoever got the Tarwar, that one's a beaut. Love that chandan handle - dark wood is my favorite.

nifty gelbu! sweet looking...

very cute "baby"? that's huge! crow knife - wood handle too, good price!

the YCS is nifty to be sure... that chandan is gorgeous. have we been seeing more cracks in that lately? mmm. epoxy and dust from your chakma is your friend :)

jefptw?

"My hands did it, not me." Hah! Like that would exonerate you in a court of law, you justifier, you!!!

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

Nice choices. Welcome.

In looking back at Tarwars offered in the DOTD, this looks to be the heaviest one so far and the first in Chandan.

Could not find any other Chandans, at least. (I did see that Dave has a Chandan one)

All the others run 32 oz. to 40 oz.

Eric.

Tried and missed on a couple, thank God! What was I not thinking? Oh, I know, how to pay for it!

I have 4 YCS's as well and an unfinished one called a "Lal special", but that standard handle one for $90 was a steal. I would just drop a couple of standalone YCS kardas in there and I'd be set.

I sold off my 18" and two 21" Gelbus last year, the 21's by Sher, but that one really had me going. I could just see that light colored wood handle refinished in a darker stain and tru-oiled.

Congrats on whoever got them, and thanks. :D

Yeah.... that YCS could be an awesome custom kit with firestarter and Mora karda... best of both worlds.... ;)

that is, if it was still available....

So cheap, for a YCS you almost couldn't pass it by....

Whoosh (wiping sweaty forehead)...thanks Bladite. Seriously. And you deserve it- I know you've been looking for one, and that is a NICE example. Good lines, a little hefty like I like 'em.

Baby Crow knife still around? That's interesting. I thought it would be among the first to get sharked selling at the same price a Kumar Karda normally goes for. Reckon I must be out of touch. It's unfortunate that Vim made that one Crow knife with a wobbly blade, folks remember that kind of stuff. Still, I've got a big old Udda sword Vim made that's as straight as any of my arrows, so I know that crooked crow knife must have just been an oopsie. I'd best shut my mouth and shove off before I'm tempted to buy the durn thing myself. Believe me that bowie style blade and bird's head grip could easily tempt me. ;)
