Deals for 7/11 -- Pix and awesome buys

The sirupate is one of the best I have seen great snag and I have been waiting for a rose for a long time, though this should have been the week for it not to be offered:mad:

I have a carved chandan Rose where the whole handle is done in those kind of curliques, but the carving on this one leaves some blank spaces that just set off the whole thing. Really unique and exceptional work.

The coolest carved handle Rose yet was that one done up like a fish. Who got that one?

There have been a couple of fishy roses, the last one about a year ago IIRC, but can't track it down. Don't recall who got it. The carved one I mentioned has little carved circlets of chandan all up and down the handle. Interesting design and lots of work.

Here it is from last December:

The first thing I did was take a file to the spine and level it out, but other than that I left it alone.

I have to say that this one here easily rivals it for intricacy, and the satisal really shows off the carving detail. Bura still has it going on.

P.S. 5 days later a fancy carved neem handled one came up and Sassas grabbed it. Fitting given his love for Neem. :D

A couple of months later, another carved chandan that J W Kilpatrick snagged. Very pretty:

Cool, thanks for updating me. Those are all beautiful. That handle really lends itself to carving, I think. I might get around to doing up my own someday.
