Death Chat!!

Damn, I didn't even realize how much we post on this crazy thread. Most people will just look at the the title and say WTF????

Looks like Ruger has a takedown model of the popular 10/22 now. I doubt the standard 10/22 aftermarket parts like barrels will be compatible with it though.

yep, saw it this morning as well. Some of the parts may be interchangeable.

i hate late night internet browsing, just ordered a benchmade 940 and a couple streamlight nano lights. not bad though for $150 shipped.

You are starting to sound like a chronic online shopper that I know. Those nano lights are pretty awesome. Remember to pick up some cheap spare batteries as well.

Hahah I was due for nice folder and I've been wanting the 940 for years. Can't wait for it to come in!!

Wanted to order the comtech stinger too but couldn't think of the name at the time...

You can get the stingers from alpha innovations. They also make a bunch of other striking enhancing tools.

Any of y'all compare the Nano lights to a Photon Micro? I need to pick up a few small lights to keep around and want something inexpensive that works well.

I haven’t had extensive use with the nano light yet, but I checked out Ban’s and I personally like it better than photon lights. They’re both small enough to carry on a keychain, but the big advantage over the photon light is it’s actually designed as a little flashlight so it has some throw in it to reach out 20-30+ feet. Photon lights are like candles and only light up what’s around you. I guess it depends what you want.

If you’re going to be carrying it in your pocket and want something a little more powerful, check out the Streamlight Microstream. It’s my favorite EDC flashlight, small with decent power and uses one AAA battery.

It is hard to go wrong with either the photon or streamlight nano. I carried various versions of photons for nearly a decade and still prefer the plain jane Photon 2 for the basic manual constant on off switch. All of the newer versions these days have fancy modes and clickie like constant on buttons that always seems to get accidentally switched on in my pockets.

The nano is very close in size to the photon and is brighter with more throw. It is very powerful for its size and I like that it is just a basic twist on/off. It has been my current edc replacing my photon for the past 6-8 months or so. The only problem I have found is that it sometimes accidentally untwist dumping the batteries in my pocket. Could possibly be a worn out O-ring. This happened only once and hasn't happened since I twisted the light closer to the on position engaging more of the O-ring when not in use.

Don't forget the iTP A3 EOS Upgrade, now in R5. Excellent little AAA light, my favorite so far in that form factor

That is a great flashlight as well. I own a few and have them dispersed in a few jacket pockets. I still prefer the streamlight microstream AAA for the price and clickie tail switch. Both are great lights though. It has been my back pocket edc light since I got it. My AA and CR123 lights always just seem to be too bulky for me to EDC.

new season of MotoGP starts this week and I can't wait! going to be exciting with the new teams/rules, etc.

One of the few "sports" I enjoy watching. ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm gonna pick up a Nano to compare to my Photons. I like that it has more throw and is actually smaller, but I want to see if I can operate it with one hand like my Photons.

Cool, i'll post a mini review of my initial impression on them once they arrive here on Friday! Very eager to get my Benchmade 940 too!!

USPS updated their tracking info for expected delivery from Friday to today! Can't wait to come home to a couple new toys!

Most likely hitting up Target Masters tonight if anybody wants to join.

new folder and lights are in, i'm a happy man!

the nano light is indeed cool, super light and i'm still seeing white spots from accidentally staring into the LED when turning it on.
