Death Chat!!

Went and saw The Raid the other day, lots of action with lots of stabbing. Although the fight scenes were good they were a little drawn out. Also I guess to many stuntmen are probably getting hurt shooting these types of fighting scenes over in asia so I notice more cgi used in this one. I read that they plan to make it a trilogy, thats why its called Raid: The Redemption here in the US.

Yeah, some of the fight scenes were pretty drawn out. The knife scenes are pretty good showing what appears to be Silat.

I've been meaning to check the movie out, mostly likely catch it once it hits DVD/Blu-ray though.

Same here, been a while since I've been to the movies.

You know which movie had a great knife scene? The Man From Nowhere.

Looks like a cool movie, I'm way behind on my list of movies to see, but I'll be sure to add that on there!

Russ (or anybody else) know of some good local spots within 2-3 hours drive to do some weekend camping? Somewhere preferably not too tough to book a spot during summer. Trying to arrange a weekend trip with family/friends not sure where to start.

Speaking of that, we should plan another hiking trip or camping trip! Gives us a chance to bust out some tools.

That looks like a pretty badass movie. I never heard of it till now. Probably has a similar theme to the movies Taken and Man on Fire. Both of which I really like. Lots of korean movies are very good.

Man From Nowhere is on Netflix and worth it to watch. Cant remember what it was about but it was good. Lots of good movies coming out of Korea.

Had to watch The Man From Nowhere after reading about it here. Ban, you are right, right along the lines of Man on Fire. Since I love on Fire, from nowhere was entertaining.

That knife fight scene was pretty good. Short but sweet.

I was looking up The Man From Nowhere and ended up doing some reading on some top Korean movies. Saw that they did a remake of the classic A Better Tomorrow with Chow Yun Fat directed by John Woo. I am gonna have to check that one out as well. I ended up digging out my DVD collection to watch the original. It was still as good as I remembered it when I was a kid ;)

I need a .22lr pistol. Went to the range and shot the 10/22 for a little over an hour and hardly put a dent on the bulk ammo. Deciding between a dedicated pistol or just get a conversion kit...

If you want a ultra accurate conversion kit then go with the marvel custom for the 1911. Otherwise there are a few glock conversions out there.

i'd like to get the ruger sp101 but it isn't cheap. sexy looking .22lr though.

and on a separate note, ban, i know you used to be a pretty avid fisherman. i've been watching river monsters on animal planet and it's crazy the stuff he catches, like this giant catfish.

The 22lr revolvers are pretty sweet when you get a nice one. I have a very old school 1940s Smith and Wesson K-22 Masterpiece that is very accurate. I am gonna have to bring it out next time to give it some love.
