Things will only get more hectic as my semester comes to an end but it really would be great to get together with some folk between thanksgiving and the holiday break so will try to make something happen

Great pic HikingMano! That looks like the area up along skyline blvd...are there good trails around there? Haven't ventured that way yet, myself.

You're spot on, it's Long Ridge Open Space Preserve. The open space preserves along skyline are nice for strolls/trail runs; I'm sure there are a few great trails but I'm still in the process of exploring all of the open space presereves. So far I prefer the bigger parks for hiking (e.g. Big Basin). Most of the preserves have decent views out west towards the ocean or east overlooking the southbay. Castle Rock SP is a nice park on skyline that's great for stretching your legs. I'm sure Mike knows a ton more places in the SC mountains :thumbup:

Nice pic Russ. Long Ridge is one of my favorite spots. I can show you some cool spots there. I know pretty much all of the OSPs on the peninsula.
