It did not taste too bad at all. It wouldn't be my first choice in terms of taste but I could survive on it if I had to.

HikingMano, 10/22 on sale this week at Big5, $239 I think. They also had a Marlin 22 for less last week. I think they switch those two out on sales.
 
Dang. That's not bad. Thank's for the heads up, good to know it's quite affordable to pick up a starter. Going to be a while before I pick one up though, I don't have enough knives and stuff to sell :o Going to have to save up. And I'm thinking I want a handgun for the bedside first, then a 10/22.
