  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Decon containers!

.......Now you all have me getting container envy!

That's funny!:D

After years of collecting "containers," my daughters now save anything they empty and then bring it home - "you want this?" They are trained well because their offerings have gotten better and better over the years. As for the decon containers, like lots of other gear, while in the Army, I collected tons of that stuff when in the field. Guys would lose/leave lying all sorts of stuff - GOOD stuff! I had amassed a laundry basket full of 30-rd M16 mags, which I gave away when I transferred. Worst cool gear find was a large ammo can I risked getting in trouble over retreiving from under a lone fir in the middle of an LZ, which when finally reached turned out to have been used as a toilet! Yep, there was a "log" in that can that nearly filled it up and I had to abandon it. Found out years later my best friend had "booby trapped" that can on purpose!:grumpy:

I guess that strayed a bit OT, but every time surplus gear comes up, I remember that.:o

Ill be leaving hear in a few weeks. Let me check I might be able to get a few of these.

That would be great. I'm sure you'd sell about as many as you could get.

Got a couple use one to keep my brew kit (Tea and sugar, salt pepper etc). Hadn't thought of the Soap Idea though, excellent. For soap I normally drill a hole with an awl through the center then thread a length of hootchie cord and store it in a ziplok bag.
