Dedicated chopper knife for $100 or less... Sugestions?

Thanks, they are both great looking blades but they seem to be a bit more green for what you get, from usual Condor that is. Their 1075 is good but not as good as some of the other industry bigblades with nicer steels.

Like you I like steel with better edge retention, but good is relative in relation to steel. It depends on what you plan you use it for. 1075 is good for a chopper, specially a beater. And those other nicer steel big blades cost considerably more than the Speed Bowie. As for price, you can check knifecenter and FourtyTwoBlades here at BF.

Bryan sent me this video of the Lord Greystoke's big brother, a 12" version of the same design. This design is beautiful and the way Bryan does them, they are quite sharp.

Can't wait till February so I can order mine! His knives appear to be the sharpest I've ever seen, short of a real katana.

You guys can't wait, Think of poor little me  I can't wait to make um:D. Oh the dreaded wait for all parties involved.
Glad you liked the vid. it was fun to do.

Chat with you all later,

Bryan

Mr. Breedan, what is that fine looking green handled survival knife in your little signature photo? That's a sweet-looking blade! Has anyone tried a Chris Caine survival machete or any of the other British models? Greystroke Sr. Is a pretty mean looking blade... wow. Nice shop to boot!

Bryan,

The knife came in. First impression, WOW. I think I’ll name it the “Beast”. It fits secure in the sheath. As I removed it I immediately noticed how comfortable the handle is. There are no sharp edges on the handle and fits my hand well. For a .25” thick blade it is very light feeling in the hand. The knife is very well balanced in my hand.
I don’t know when I will get to use it, but I will report further when I do.

Thank you,

Jim

Hi all, Jim I have the pic I sent to you so I will post it here.
