I think I'm gonna get me a Nix sheath for this one.....

That sounds like a good idea!

Have been for a while. However I'm closing on a new to me house next week so I'll have to take some time to move and set up shop again. Might be about a month or so before I can take more orders. I still have a few I need to finish.

Thanks mang!! We're pretty dern excited!! Pictures will be posted on the snark thread.... Eventually.

Hey man. Kydex works. Julio makes some damn nice kydex sheaths. I try to make sheaths out of it but they ain't pretty.

Yeah that's true. My hybrid sheaths are leather pants with a kydex belt. Maybe we can get Jonny to post a picture of a hybrid bk5 sheath I made. It's an early one so it's not the prettiest.

Right on Nix your leather sheaths are very nice and I agree with you Julio makes some find kydex for sure.

Hmmm...maybe, just maybe. Lol
The lockup on that sheath is unreal!!

The BK-5 is still my all time favorite, and in my opinion... the BEST of the Beckers. I still need to chase down a BK-15, because... well, it's the Little Brother!
I use my BK-5 as my primary pineapple knife, and it sees sporadic kitchen duty for large carving jobs. One year, did the Thanksgiving turkey with it. My particular BK-5 also has the distinction of having the King himself, Mr. Jerry Fisk, put a nice wicked convex edge on it.

I'm not really warming up to my bk15. It may be up for sale/trade soon!

My "Fisk'd" 5.
Thinned down to about .025-.030 BTE. It is Quite a bit better at slicing while keeping enough meat BTE for support.

It has since been through 1"+ black locust limbs with one fell swoop without failure, used for yard work, and it works great on pineapples and other kitchen duties.
