Deep carry / low ride titanium clips for Spyderco - Delica, PM2, Manix, etc. - Run #3

Holy smokes.. I followed every thread's link to this point, haha. Thanks OP for posting the updated links to your clips.

I'm returning a ZT 801 and getting a Domino. Once it arrives (wednesday), I'll reach out to you for a clip.

Make sure and get a long for a Domino. I tried a short, but falls on the lockbar relief. Short is PEREFECT for a Dice though!
Also keep in mind that the Domino/Dice use different smaller dia. screws than most other Spydercos. The ones included with clip will not work, so don't lose yours!

I wonder why the manufacturer doesn't use deep carry clips like this in the first place? Surely their customers have asked for it.
Already discussed in the Spyderco subforum. Judging from the responses, just as many seem to prefer the standard clip as prefer the deep carry.

Probably not enough of a market to justify the manufacturing cost.

Say Casey ... any update on powder coat clips? [fingers crossed]

Purchased a long clip to replace the ridiculous clip on my full sized dyad. The holes for the dyad are drilled much lower than most spydercos resulting in around 1" of the knife to stick out the top of my pocket. There is still more of the knife sticking out with the Lynch clip but it is way better than the original. Holes matched up perfect.
Thank Casey:thumbup:

Got my clips. Fast shipping. Thanks Casey. I used my wife's paypal account. That's why the name was different.

That looks much more reasonable! I've been eyeballing the Dyad Sprint (which it looks like you have) and thinking about picking one up. Have anymore photos of it out of your pocket with the new clip? :)

The dyad sprint is awesome. Its a big heavy knife. Never did like blades with partial serrations so this the best of both worlds. My only real complaint was
1. the clip placement ,Casey solved a lot of that with his clip.
2. the V10 steel took a while for me to sharpen.Took several searches on this forum to get my skills better. you can see in the photos I scratched it up a bit trying to use DMT stones on my sharpmaker. Its no big deal to me because I use this as a knife, not a dust gatherer.
It has become my EDC along with my mini clip .

Ahh, I thought that might be the case so I let him know if they weren't available with the logo then it's no biggie.. I'm still jazzed!

As you should be! These clips are fantastic and dealing with Casey has been a great experience so much so that it makes you want to buy more Spydercos just to buy these clips 😄

Forgive my silly questions. I'm new to the forum and looking to order one of those sweet looking bronze shorties for my digicam PM2. How do I go about ordering??

Wow! I'm literally blown away - not only at the quality of the clip, but at the service Casey provided me!

I ordered a standard clip for my PM2, but I wasn't really sure what colors were offered. I just asked for the darkest clip color available and sent payment for one of the standard clips.

What I got was a hand written note from Casey saying, "after playing with the ano, this is about the darkest color I can get. Plus I think it will blend with jeans (exactly what I was looking for). If you don't like it let me know and we will try something different."

What??? You're telling me I've basically got a custom anodized deep carry pocket clip now?? Incredible. Needless to say, I'm loving the color and I wish everyone was this great to deal with. I can't post pics right now for some reason, but when I can I'll include one.

Thanks Casey!

NM - sounds good, thanks!

Danno - thanks brother!

Speed, Trav, and R.palace - thanks for the help fellas, and the kind words. I very much appreciate it ;-)

Trav - I'm still looking for a new shop. Most places don't want to mess with such small quantities (I can't blame them), but I haven't given up yet.

Uo - yeah, I've heard the same thing that Sal is working on an OEM deep carry clip. You can bet that if he designs it, it will be terrific.

Thanks bj!

Antho - thanks for the kind words and great pics. I appreciate it.

Hey Luckie, great pic. Thanks brother!

Hey Dark - yessir, I have some ready to go.

Jond - thanks for the really nice post and kind words. Glad to hear the color worked out ok.

Casey
