Deep carry / low ride titanium clips for Spyderco knives - Delica, PM2, Manix, etc.

Right on, thanks Dewittism for the great pic. Dang, sick scales!

Hey sebis - thanks for the post. I'm afraid I'm out for the time being - the explanation is in the following post.

Hi fellas - thanks for all the support you guys have given me over the last couple years. I very truly and sincerely appreciate it.

As of the end of April, I’m not selling them directly anymore. I’ll be selling them through BladeHQ.com in small batches.

I have a ‘real’ job (working for a gravel pit) and a family of 6, and I do this on the side. Because of the limited amount of time I have to put toward the clips, I was having a really hard time keeping up with orders. When it got too busy, my customer service started to suffer, and I don’t want to give guys who spend their hard earned money on my stuff less than my best. It was a really hard decision, but in the end scaling back a bit (by doing smaller quantities and only shipping to one place) was the only way I could keep putting out the best product I’m able to make.

I think BladeHQ.com is out of stock at the moment, but I’ll be getting them more stuff soon. You can search ‘Lynch’ to see what they have.

Thanks again,

Casey

I understand completely. Nothing wrong with taking a step back! Good luck to you, brother.

Just wanted to say thank you and I can fully respect scaling back! Good luck! I am sure I will pick up another clip in the future!

Sucks for us, me in particular but totally understand and wish u good luck man. Looking forward to snagging up some more clips once Bladehq has some in stock. Guess I should stock up on a few when they come in.

Thanks Arm! I really appreciate it.

Hi Bruennis - no long clips at the present - they are only ordering the shorties. But I'll see if they'd be interested in some long clips.

Thanks dew, I very much appreciate the kind words.

Thank you kb.

Thanks Cap!

Casey

Hey Casey,
I put in my preorder for the new spyderco advocate a couple weeks ago. I know I am not going to like the stock clip it comes with. Can you suggest a clip to use with this knife?
Thanks!

I didn't see that you were no longer selling clips directly and sent a payment for one for my Police3 yesterday.

sorry

John

Love mine. It turned out perfectly and it looks and works great. Very happy with it. Thanks a bunch. I'll definitely recommend them to friends.

Hello,

May we have an update on these? BladeHQ has been out of stock for a long time, and some of us weren't lucky enough to snag any when they were available.

Thanks

I'm in the same boat brother. I've been wanting a blue clip for my PM2 for months! Seems BladeHQ never has them in stock...

Interested in buying a couple of your deep carry clips. Are they still available? Thanks

I'm sure someone else will chime in as well. But he stopped selling the clips on here. U can get them on Bladehq just search" Lynch pocket clips" and they will show up. They are only in stock so often so ur best bet is to sign up for email notification when they are back in stock and also to check often bcoz I have missed items before with the notifications. You'll get notified and they'll already be gone. I got lucky a couple months ago and picked up one, so they do get them in, it's just random when they do.

Thanks everyone for your patience waiting on these. I'm really sorry about the delay and the long time it took getting this run up and going.

These are a continuation of the clips posted here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...a-Paramilitary-2-Police?highlight=casey+shirt

They're made of grade 5 6AL-4V titanium, sandwashed, and hand formed one at a time. They'll fit any Spyderco with the common 3-hole pattern - so knives like the Delica, Endura, PM2, Police, Stretch, Domino, Gayle Bradley, Manix, Chockwe, Native, Yojimbo, Salt, Szabo, etc.

There are a couple differences in this run from the last run.

- These are .040" ti, rather than the .032" ti of the last run, to make them a little more stiff, and a little less springy.

- The 'neck' has been lengthened to help them sit just a shade deeper in the pocket, as well as to alleviate some of the distortion effect forming had on the large access hole in the last run (a cosmetic-only issue, and minor, but I wanted to fix it).

- There are 2 length options: the 'original' shorter length (1st image), and a longer 'leg' for FRN-handled knives like the Delica, Endura, Stretch, etc., (2nd - 4th image). The pinch point on the new longer version hits on the smooth Spyderco logo, just like the OEM clip. This long clip is also better for knives like the Domino, where the pinch point is a specific area on the scale (to miss a lockbar cutout or relief).
The shorter length is the same as the original clip, and (in my opinion) works better than the long version on knives with non-FRN handles like the PM2, Police, Galye Bradley, etc. I think it works better since there is less surface area to get hung up on seat belts, tree branches, desks, significant others, etc.

- There are some anodizing options available. I am not an expert by any means, but I can get some blues, purples, bronzes, very light greens, and greys. I can also do fades or gradiations if anyone is interested. Wish I could get black, but I guess that is not possible via anodization. I'm not sure how tough the color will be. From my research, this type of anodization scratches and wears relatively easily.

- I can also 'flame anodize' them with a MAP torch. That's a spontaneous and inexact technique, so the color and the way the color disperses on the surface will vary.

- I tried out waterjet cutting this run rather than laser, so I wasn't able to get the feather logo etched. I am bummed about that. Sorry if anyone wanted the logo. If I get the chance to make another run, I'll go back to laser so I can get the logo back.

The clips are $16 ea for either length, with $2 shipping for any amount (international shipping is $6). If anyone is interested in anodization, add $2 per clip.

These are guaranteed for life. If you break it or tweak it or just don't like it, I'll refund your money or send you a new clip. I want everyone to be happy with their purchase, so if there is an issue I'll make it right.

My paypal is thelastleaf@fastmail.fm. In the "Notes" section, make sure to let me know what length you want, if you want any anodization, and your mailing address.

My goal is to get them out next day, but I am catching up with pre-orders, so it may take an extra couple days to get in the mail to you.

I will also be emailing everyone who has contacted me in the next couple days.

Thanks everyone for looking. Email me with any Qs.

Casey

I am new here. How can I get one of these for a PM 2. Thanks

Hey, just wondering if these are still available? If so, how much are they now and what's the lead time? I am interested in a plain short one for my blurple Para... Thank you.
