Sounds like a nice rifle, I also had a Shiloh Sharps but in 50-140. That rear flip up tang sight bloodied my lip and my buddies and I thought it knocked out my tooth. It was a beast and I ended up selling it to a guy that killed bear and buffalo with it. There nice and accurate rifles but that steel buttplate is brutal.

I have a semi custom C. Sharps Arms 1874 Hartford in .45-110. Such a fun gun. Always wanted one of those .454 Pumas. Always liked how they had a side loading gate and the tube loading feature as well.
