Definition of a Knife "Flipper" and Opinions?

Going dark after collecting the $ and not shipping quickly......more than once??? Coming up with lame excuses.....those darn computer issues......funny how they only happen after $ is collected??? Agreeing to sell for one price......then pulling the rug out thinking he can get a few bucks more???
Douchebag is the moniker I’d use.
I’m sure starting this thread has put the OP firmly on quite a few ignore lists.....rightly so.

Buying a knife and reselling it for more than you paid is your right just it's my right not to buy it from you. Like how I'm not willing to pay $175 for a Cruwear Para 3. That's fine, it's called adjusting market price through supply and demand.

What is being douchebag (and generally just not a good person) is agreeing to sell a Cruwear Para 3 to me for $140 a month ago, then half an hour later saying you don't want to sell and cancelling the deal, and then reposting the same knife on the exchange the next day for $175.

Well, I am amazed this hasn't been closed yet, either by mods or the OP, or at least moved to W&C.

While we're still alive, though, I was thinking that it's too bad we can't start one of those polls here as if we were the OP. It might say, "Vote for one--the OP is..."

____ A flipper
____Not a flipper
____A douchebag flipper
____Not a douchebag flipper
____Just a douchebag
____Who cares?

The more you look at this thread the more flipper seems to fit you just fine. And your lack of care for the community here dosent help you either.
I mean it’s all here.
In July you got called out in GB&U last post in oct you still haven’t even responded to that thread.https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/dailyedc.1508736/ SPEAKS VOLUMES.
Here’s one from November 2016
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/does-anybody-know-dailyedc.1451467/ and you responded a few days later claiming computer and website problems

Now here in Jan 2017 you have shipping problems https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/opinion-about-knives-lost-during-shipping.1462725/ just keeps getting better dosent it?

Now here in December of 2017 this thread isn’t a sales thread but relevant https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/my-tomahawk-collection.1533668/page-2#post-17654951 because you are in this thread still claiming you are learning this new system.
sorry for the late response...I'm still getting used to this system.

Man you have been learning this system for a long time. But your learning problems only seems to be when responding to people you owe a knife to or ask you a question or when a mod asked you to respond to one of the many GB&U about you.

But you seem to have no problem navigating this site when it comes to posting Numerous for sale threads. Or to head into tech support to ask the question of this post or ask if it’s ok to make other accounts to sell more here. Really another account to sell here? Guy you can’t even get your 1st account right you definitely don’t need another.

So are you a flipper yeah I think so. I also think you need to rethink the way you jerk people around here. You come here like a victim of meanies calling you out in your bullshit. But in all reality you need to be called on it because if you were more then a flipper to this community you would see it is just that shady bullishit.

People flip everything. Is there no one here who wouldn't like to make a quick profit?

Where I have a problem is those that flip enough knives that they appear to be dealers without paying for that level of membership.
I have the choice as a buyer to buy or not buy. If I find a member who appears to be dealing without paying the dealer membership, I put them on ignore so I'm not rewarding them.

If you are getting so upset over flippers that it is making you angry, you need to get over it an move on.

If you suspect someone is a dealer without the membership, report them or send one of the mods a message. Several people have been reported for this and we do check into it.

I'm with you on that, I feel like it is scamming the forum owners. There is/was a guy (from Chicago, figure it out) who used to sell constantly on the Exchange as an individual. He would post several times a week and have like a half dozen or more usually LNIB knives in each post. I texted him once about an Emerson and it had already sold but he tried to sell me no fewer than 3 other Emersons that he had "on the way"...If that's not suspicious I don't know what is.

I reported him eventually for dealing and I haven't seen him on there lately.

Can someone define the word "flipper" in the way it's used here on the forum? I've always assumed a flipper is someone who buys and sells knives either for a profit or just because they enjoy discovering new knives and need to sell one to buy one.

Am I missing something? Is there an added requirement in order to be classified as a flipper?

Also, what's your opinion about people who buy and sell knives frequently, are they bad for the forum?

Are they only bad for the forum if they try to turn a profit doing it?

What if they always sell the knives for less than what they bought them for, are they still a flipper and do people still frown on people who sell knives for less than what they paid?

How long do you have to own a knife, in order to not be considered a "flip?"

I haven't spent a lot of time socializing on the site. so I'm trying to learn the nuances of this crowd. For years I've met nothing but awesome, considerate, amazing people...but that was when I spent years only buying knives and rarely, if ever selling. Now that it's 3 years later and I want to change it up and sell some knives, I'm running into a lot of weirdos who refer to me as a "douchebag flipper."

Every knife i'm selling, mostly because the market was come down quite a bit, I'm selling at huge loses and purchased YEARS ago 2 or 3 years minimum. Am I considered a flipper? Even though I've never profited even $1, one time, on any knife ever? But only always sell for less than what I paid.

When ever someone says something along the lines of "almost everyone on bladeforums is a good person", it's scum like you that taint this community and keep it from being an absolute.

Go away. No one wants you here and we're in fact better off without people like you.

You want the definition of a flipper?

You wanted to know if you could pay for a second account just to spam the exchange with a Second sales thread per day.

No other reason. Not to contribute in any other way, aside from selling more knives. Even worse than that, you didn't want to sell MORE Knives, you just wanted to Spam the exchange with a second thread, instead of listing them in the same thread...

A second account just to get more daily realty in the exchange would only enter the mind of a, you guessed it...

A flipper...

Interesting. Again it is funny how so many posts in gbu come back and bite the OP.
Thank you for reminding me to put you on ignore.

Not only that, but it’s a way to be able to try and skirt the rule of no reposting a knife before 14 days has lapsed. (I see this rule broken a lot. Hopefully the mods aren’t sick of me reporting the posts lol).

It would also give him a chance at keeping a spotless sales record since he now has a 95.5% positive score.

He may have folks not buying since he doesn't have a 100% positive score and was hoping to "start fresh"...

OP, where did you go? Did you get the answer you were looking for?
Back to the exchange. And I believe yes, many times over.

Correction, not the one he was looking for, but a definitive answer nonetheless.

DailyEDC has been banned

Flipping is not the reason, but plays a small part. This community needs contributors to discussion as that is what BF is about.
Selling is fine..spend most of your time selling- but when when your rep starts to go south with the way you take care of business, then it is to the detriment of Bladeforums.

This decision didn't come lightly and not my decision alone.
