DEK1

I’m sure it’s been discussed at length somewhere, but is the kydex on these going to be configured for vertical or horizontal carry? Tek lok? Thanks!
The TekLoks can usually be unscrewed and remounted to change from vertical to horizontal if desired. Depending on how the holes in the kydex are spaced, it's even possible to remount the TekLok for angled carry with some sheaths.

More so than just horizontal or vertical, I'm hoping Lorien Lorien had a chance to infuse his design elements into a sheath that is intended to complement the knife in a purposeful way!

I expect that Nate and crew will come up with a very serviceable, well thought out kydex sheath, with the purposefulness and quality you've come to expect from CPK's chosen kydex benders.

That being said, I have really been working on my leather game, and I will definitely make one that's tuned to DEK1 and how I want to interact with it, just for my personal use. The only way that I know how to build a sheath is to respect the intent behind a knife enough to want to carry it. As I become familiar with the tool, I learn more about how I want to lug it around and how I want it to go in and come out of its sheath. It usually takes awhile to figure out how I want a sheath to work. That wasn't really the case with Eric's DEF, though. I love that model, and due to its nature the sheath has no more extra material than absolutely necessary and was pretty straightforward to design. That process will DEFinitely inform DEK1 sheath design for me.

I'm building a sheath for my North Sword, after years of using and carrying it. It's pretty complicated but so far, (knocks on wood) it's looking like it's going to be awesome.

Oops, Lorien posted while I was writing. I would definitely love to snag a leather sheath for the DEK designed by Lorien!:)
