I just bought a broach and file guide from him. I sent an inquiry through his website contact form; he called me the next day; I sent him a payment through paypal. About 1 week later I called him to see how things were going and discovered he had missed my paypal payment (I forgot paypal labels it with my old company name.) He said his main phone line was down which also kills his internet -- tornadoes. He shipped the tools to me on my verbal assurance that I had indeed actually sent him a paypal payment. This was the first time I'd ever done any business with him, so this was very nice on his part. The tools came in two days and are really nice. (FWIW, he was still out of 1/8" broaches when I talked to him last week.)

I don't have a long history with him but from my short interactions I get the impression that he work best over the phone and that the tornadoes really were close to his place. If you PM me I can give you the phone number I was using to talk to him, maybe it is different from what you are trying.
