Delica/Endura Are you fine with VG10?

I always have a ZDP Dragonfly in my jacket pocket.
Totally !
It is one of the most "FINISHED" looking of the Spyderco designs, I think. It just really comes together with no notches or things that ones eye stops on and makes you think : Oh heck; that could have been done better; oh well.

Many designs I see in other brands and the occasional Spyderco make me say that.
Not the little Dragon; it is a masterpiece !

Boxer,
As said previously i'm a vg10 fan, have lots of good knives in it.
One thing to be considered with the vg10 question is the cost.
Outside of the US,vg is probably the biggest seller in delica/endura market.
My reasoning.
I know most of the reputable online authorised dealers in Oz.
Did a, search to find zdp delica for sale here.
Found 1 dealer in stock and also had flat grind vg10 in stock.
Flat grind vg10 delica $132 +AUD,
Zdp delica $214+
Then add $12 post
That's a pretty big difference for the average buyer, if zdp or similar was the base model steel. I wouldn't have as many Spydercos
Cheers

My enduras are vg-10. My stretches and manbugs are zdp-189, vtoku2, hap 40,and super blue. I can’t explain why, it just seemed to happen this way.

VG-10 makes sense for the FRN models made in Japan. It's affordable and available. Very stainless with decent edge holding. That said, I will rarely buy a knife in VG-10. I prefer S30V for a base steel. My only VG-10 knives are the Centofante 3 and Delica serrated wharny. For a serrated knife, I think it's a great choice.
