I would like your opinions on your experience with your delicas and enduras. Mostly leaning towards delica because the endura is a little big. I'm still iffy on it. But how has your delicas held up to what you use it for? Please include what you mostly cut. I'm seeing if it is worth $60 to me. I would really like to try vg10. You can include your enduras as well. I have enough trouble with scared people with some of my knives and the endura could give someone a heart attack haha.

I own both the Delica and the Endura, but in ZDP-189 steel. I use them to open packages/letters and cut up cardboard. I wouldn't classify that as hard use but both blades perform exceptionally well. The full flat grind makes them excellent slicers, and is easy to touch-up back to razor sharpness. I, too, thought the Endura was intially too big but after carrying it for a while I actually prefer it to the Delica, especially for cutting up cardboard. Good luck with your decision.

Fantastic knives both. I have 4 of them. Cuts everything with easy. I keep them touched up on the sharpmaker. Zip ties, whatever. Once I had a junk computer monitor and the cord got stuck between some slats in the back of the truck...the big thick monitor cable. Zip...right through it like nothing. Light, flat, comes in colors, great ergonomics, great blade geometry.

Sorry didn't mean to put the angry face. And yea I was set on the endura but worry about some people. I do worry about the strength of the delica which sways me to the endura and the price. It's around $6 more on amazon. And the endura is probably thick enough to not have to worry.

I have carried the Endura more than any other knife, I have a bunch of knives. Both are lightweight capable blades that work great for any normal EDC task...

The Delica is a stellar EDC folder. Mine still see pocket time no matter what other shiny new sharp thing I buy. I like my Endura also, but I carry my Delicas more often.

I have an Endura. For the design, build quality, and customer support, it's worth the money. With that, I think it would be safe to assume the Delica is no different. If you are still unconvinced about the price, buy a lightly used one on the Exchange for $40 to $50.

The Endura is nowhere near big enough/scary enough in my opinion. In fact, I'm already trading my Endura because it is a bit too Plain-Jane for my tastes.

I like my Delica. I use it for everyday cutting tasks. It's worth the $60 in design and build quality.

vg-10 delica and zdp endura. the endura is by far sharper and holds its edge much longer. it (endura) has not been re-profiled. all i do is touch it up once a month with some metal polish and oil on glass. but the delica is better for shaving, for the simple reason that vg-10 is easier to sharpen and strop.

The Delicas will fall tip first if you drop them over concrete. That is my only complaint.

Seriously though, I much prefer them to the original Delica 4's. The thinner blade allows them to perform much better than the thick saber grind on the other models.

I have a purple Endura and BYRD version of Delica---Meadow Lark. The endura is realy big and handle may be too long for carry. The Meadow lark is at the perfact size of EDC. I think the design of Meadow Lark is better than Delica as it has a extra finger choil and much more gripy jimpimg and shape of handle. Also better finish on Byrd.

The FFG delica is probably one of my favorite EDC's of all time! The slicing capability is just phenomenal and if you do a lot of slicing in your edc it is very much worth the money in my opinion. With that said, the tip is very delicate so if that's an issue with you, you could always pair it with a folder(or fix blade) with a more robust tip. Hope that helps! :)

My first spyderco, and still one of my favorites. It's a pretty basic knife, but in the end they are just meant for cutting, right? The only downside is that the pocket pocket clip loses its color quickly, but it looks better stripped anyway.

I use my ffg endura everyday its my everything knife, concrete bags to apples and samiches. I'm pretty sure its not sanitary at all...

I have quite a few knives in the $150 to $400 range yet, the Delica is carried daily on the job. Its light weight, easy opening, ergonomic and a breeze to maintain an edge.

i love my endura but i traded away my delica. The handle just wants right for my hand and i couldn't open it easily one handed without made wrist flicking. I am sure someone will say theirs is great, and flicks open like a PM2 or Manix but for me in that size i prefer my Skylines and mini bone collector I also have Q that is around the same size that i like and works better with my hand. My Endura tho has been in my pocket probably more than any other blade. It has surprised a couple of people tho. I say get the Endura, for $6 difference you are getting a hell of a lot more knife.

I have a VG-10 FFG Endura, and it's a good slicer. I use it for cardboard and rope cutting - light-duty edc tasks. I wouldn't consider it a hard-use knife, but it cuts very well and I love the light weight.

Exactly sir! I was always saying to myself why is the delica just a little bit less than an endura. The endura is a lot more knife and would be worth it. I have held both these knives like a month ago at a knife store. I was too flustered though because there were so many knives I liked and didn't think I'd see. Sebenza, zt knives, all sorts! I might just go with the endura just for the extra edge if I'd need it.

What he said.
Regardless of price, the Byrd Meadowlark's ergonomics are an improvement and it feels better in the hand than the Delica. A big part of it has to do with the finger choil. The finger choil makes a big difference in how strong you can exert pressure on the blade and makes the whole package fee stronger.

I think it's all been covered here. I edc both of these, but the orange Delica more. If there are two knives that go together, these are it.
