Delica Wharncliffe

I haven’t tried to remove it at all as it doesn’t really bother me. Was just curious about it

That's strange, I've never seen that before on S30v. I wouldn't be too thrilled but I like my stuff to look as it came from the factory. Oh well, as long as it doesn't bother you!

This thread just made me buy an S30V from Cutlery Shoppe. This pic is makes me want to buy new scales. Very tasteful looking knife. Checking out Steve's Flickr page now. Yum.
Hell yeah man glad to see another person get in on these. Such a sweet knife. Let us know what you think when you get it

Got My knife a couple days ago and have no remorse. Great blade! This is my first Delica and am starting to like the handle shape a lot more than when I first held it. I prefer G10 and a wire clip but I am liking this knife. Cuts very well. Good buy for sure...already fighting the backup demons.

Awesome, glad you are enjoying it. It wasn't my first Delica but like I mentioned in a previous reply it was my first Wharncliffe and S30V Delica. I'm in the same boat, I feel if I don't order an extra I'll be kicking myself down the road.

This thread needs another pic.

As soon as that HAP-40 wharncliffe comes in I am putting these scales/clip on it.
Wow man the natural micarta looks awesome and the pocket clip looks great with those scales. Thats going to be sick with the Hap 40 wharncliffe

Those aftermarket scales really give y'alls knives some personality!
Some of these guys are crazy talented when it comes to making scales. I really like the look and once it gets used more it will change colors from the oil on my hands. They can be a little pricey but it looks so much better than the yellow and green.

I agree, it looks great! I'm not a fan at all of those yellow and green scales.

The yellow and green is rough but its still better than the pink/purple Zome. I like that Spyderco does quirky designs but yikes who is that combo for? I'm really liking the natural micarta. I like the way it looks on the wharncliffe.

I have definitely been using my s30 wharncliffe delica for everything including food prep. It actually sees a lot of that. And it’s not staining at all. That blade looks like what my old m4 pm2 did after a few months of carrying. Hey! Maybe you accidentally got an m4 blade!!

Anyhow, this version of the delica is truly the best version of the delica that I have owned yet. It’s litetally the best work knife I have used yet. I have tried to switch to a few other knives to edc but they cannot compete with the curing performance of this wharncliffe delica. It’s a freaking laser!!!!
