Will be receiving my first Emerson tomorrow, an a100 full size. I like the classic slinder type styles. So the question is should I be excited or will I be let down. Opinions?
 
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I've wanted an Emerson Persian for a while, but there are a lot of people that identify fit and finish issues with Emerson knives, I will get a Persian and decide for myself. Again a lot of liking a knife is personal preference. Hope you like it if not the a100 seem easy to flip.

I don't mind things not being beauty queens as long as built well and function well. I'll post pics
 
Congrats, its a great knife. I love mine.

I have a feeling you're going to be a bit surprised at the size of the A-100.

Oh no is it more giant than I anticipated? I was thinking of large griptilian size.
 
Its pretty long, it surprised me when I got it.

The blade and handle are both longer than the Grip 551.

Its a slender knife but still a bit beefy.

I have one and raelly like it. It was my main EDC for a while. It pockets well because it is slim, slimmer than a full size Grip, but just a touch longer. It's not what I would call giant though, think large Sebenza, Umnumzaan, Boker Kwaiken.

Thanks for comp pics, looks like its gonna b perfect. I like big capable blades but slim n pocket. Just sold my 551-1 cause it was just to big n the pocket for my taste.
 
It ain't my thing, but it is, in many ways, a modern folder distilled down to its simplest, maybe purest, form. And, well, a great man once said perfection is not achieved when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. Use it in good health.
 
I just received my new CQC-15 and I am completely happy with it. There are absolutely no issues with it at all. I think you will be very happy with your A-100. And if you aren't, you can always sell it to me :)
 
Now question is where to get some custom scales for it. Would love some aluminum or titanium to replace g10. Any knowledge on that? Thanks guys

The A-100 is the quintessential Emerson!!

Try posting on the Emerson sub forum. Rayster 357 does nice work.
 
It does sort of look like a Sebenza,I'll probably get one at some point. I would like a non waved Emerson for the right side back pocket.
