anybody get a chance to try out the delta z's from that promotional sale? i got one of the $25 liner lock this evening in the mail. gonna take in to work in the morning and give it a whirl. anyone have reviews?

Got three of there lockbacks in a box in front on me right now, I didn't get a chance to open it yet. I will post more about them soon. Also check out this forum for a Delta Z giveaway in a few hours Thanks:)

I bought 3 of their knives. 2 lockbacks and 1 liner lock. They look to be pretty good. The edges are very sharp. No blade play and solid lock up. Definately worth the $$$. The leather sheaths they have are pretty decent also.:D

All I have to say is HOLY SH-T These are nice. I have attached a quick scan. The top one is the one I am giving away, I will start that thread in about 10 min, Right after I go and buy 4 more of these while the wife is at the store:D

My wife is going to KILL me, But I couldn't resist. I picked up one of the Damascus blades and two more lockbacks!!

LOL... you are pitiful!
I've ordered 3 and can't wait. Maybe tomorrow!
I'll probably get more myself. They should make great gifts (after keeping several from myself of course)!

Damn BG,
You need help!! You're out of control!!:p

I sure hope my ox handled lockback looks as nice as yours. Swweeett!!!:D

PS - Your theory on the USPS being faster than FedEx must be right because I'm not expecting mine until Thursday.

I got the Olive Briar linerlock for my better half... The knife is OK... It is a $20 knife. I'f I had paid $30 I MIGHT feel ripped off. It does lock up good... I'm just not that impressed with the fit and finish overall. However... I seasoned the handle and polished and rubbed and polished and rubbed and smoothed out all the edges with course and fine stones (every single POSSIBLE edge needed to be smoothed. After an hour of messing around, I got it to be a pretty nice knife. The fit of the wood handles to the liners is not great... there are a few gaps. The wood could be much nicer with minimal time and work (with the right tools).
All in all... I would say that I would honestly expect more from a CRKT.

If I had paid Delta Z's MSRP I WOULD :barf: :barf: :barf:

I just received 3 knives today! Liner lock, horn handle, damascus folder w blue handle & fixed blade damascus w blue handle. All are well made and absolutely beautiful ! As an added bonus, the fixed blade is serial number 1 & a hand written note on the invoice pointed that out to me. This makes 7 Delta-Zs I own, and I'm happy with all of them. The red Osprey will be my next. Enjoy !!!

BadGuy,

What's the handle material on the small drop point? This is a great sale. I picked up a ox horn and damascus fixed blade, a small lockback with brown maple handle, and a linerlock with cocobolo handle. I really like the size on the small lockback. And the quality is top-notch.

A couple of weeks ago some people were commenting on what a great deal Walmart had on the Buck 110 for 29.95. That was a great deal, and I picked up one myself. However, the DeltaZ sale blows it away. Better knife, better sheath, better price.

I'm trying my hardest not to go back and order a damascus lockback. I actually want to spend that money on a PCS Buck 110 w/ Water Buffalo scales and a Damascus blade.

From top to bottom:

-Bakelite Black
-Blue Maple
-Ox Horn

I am very happy with all three and can't wait for my Raindrop damascus and blue maple lockback :)

Damn! Now I gotta place another order. And it's a waste of shipping to get just one...;)

I ordered the Drop Point Lock Back Stainless Raindrop Damascus Folder(DZ-5205-MB).
Should get it this Friday(10th). Got the cheap shipping, didn't realize it was coming from the west coast till after I ordered it. Doh!

For those of you who have ordered the damascus lockbacks... Will they be users, or display pieces?

Just wondering,
Doug

Doug... my damascus knives are show & tell only ! Matter of fact, they come in wood presentation boxes, no sheath (even the fixed blade).
