Delta-z's

BadGuy, what model did you wind up getting? I know from another thread that you were eyeing up the one I ordered.

I was originaly looking at the high contrast twist damascus but finally chose the raindrop.

I got the same one you did. I originally went there to buy a few more of the $20-$30 lockbacks, but my hands just started clicking left and right and next thing you know I got one on the way:D Priority Mail on my last order was SUPERfast, but b/c I think Barny has the shopping cart shipping set up by % spent, I had to opt for Fed Ex ground this time

I just ordered a SS tanto folder and from what TBG has said, I can't wait! I just dropped a few hints to my girlfriend what to buy me for Valentines day when it comes around. I can't believe the markdowns they have on this website!

I will pull out my Knife roll and scan the few Delta Z's I picked up this last month or so. BRB :)

Ok, here they are. I didn't include the giveaway knife in this one. I am so happy with them, I can't wait till I get my 3 new ones. :)

-Osprey
-Lockback with Ox Horn
-Lockback with Blue Maple
-Linerlock Tanto with Grey Handle
-Linerlock Tanto with Maple Handle

Nice family pic BadGuy!
Like that Osprey!

Congrats on getting the damascus lockback. I can't wait till Friday!

Just received my OX Horn Lockback (with leather pouch/sheath) & blue anodized 360 (deg) Pivot. Both are very nice knives.

If you haven't checked out this sale yet, do so. I just can't believe what $25.00 gets you!! Unblieveable!!

I got a locking liner with an Olive handle. Very nice! However it didn't have a pocket clip or a pouch -- not too good for carrying. I think one result of this incredible sale is that people will be introduced to Delta-Z. I never really gave them any tought before this.

Back on January 1st I checked out Delta Z's website & ordered 2 liner locks & 4 lock backs (mainly all in Ox horn & Stag). The next day at work, I couldn't take my eyes off the Drop Point lock back Raindrop Damascus folder with brown stabilized Maple burl handle. I '...let my fingers do the walking' & next thing I knew I ordered it! That night on the home computer I ordered a few of the 360 Pivot Executive knives as some unique gifts. They all arrived by Federal Express on January 9th! Over all I'm very pleased with the products & service, but that Maple Burl Raindrop Damascus folder is just beautiful! Glad I was checking out Blade Forums & read this thread!

Looks like my darn last order with my damascus lockback wouldn't be here until Tuesday. I should of went for Priroty Mail again, but I went with the cheaper option of Fed Ex again. I would have had them by now:(

BadGuy,

I just got my last order (I know it's my last because of how much I got yelled at.) -- a couple of the small lockbacks, including one in bakelite, after seeing the pictures you posted, and a black 360 pivot. That should do it for now. I used USPS for this one. Ordered Monday night, received it today. On the large order, with the Damascus blade, I used Fedex. It only took two days. The one prior to that, before the sale, actually took six days for Priority Mail. My experience with USPS Priority mail is that it usually takes 2-3 days, but I've had several take 5-6, and a couple that pushed two weeks. You're probably just getting unlucky. You know how it goes. The more you look forward to the package, the longer it's gonna take. Now, if you'd ordered a box of suppositories, you would have probably gotten them the next day.:barf:

Got mine today. The fixed blade with the blue maple handle is wonderful! Nice balance, looks, finish and sharpness. The sheath sems well made too. The 3 liner locks seem nice also, but they have some sharp edges on the liner. A chance to use the new Christmas dremel tool. The handles are thick. Nice feel but bulky in the pocket. Two are for gifts.

Thanks for posting the original thread badguy. I may have to go back for more.

This is the first Delta-Z I've gotten, out of about a dozen, that I don't think I like much. I think it's the chisel grind that bugs me. It's not particularly sharp, and I can't seem to get it sharp. Any helpful suggestions about sharpening this blade. I've been using the sharpmaker, without a lot of luck.

Doug

I'd also like to say "Thanks" to The Bad Guy for originally posting, back in December, about these great sales.

Also, after receiving my knives (second order from Delta Z) last night I went back to the site and ordered yet another knife. This time I went for the Blue Maple Burl fixed blade (I already have the smaller brown version) and also a Cocobolo gift box for my 360 pivot knife.

Sales are very hard to resist. Especially when the product is so nice.

For anyone who is getting a folder that comes with a pouch see the attached picture. The actual color is lighter (more tan).

I got my first order of 3 knives 2 days ago and my second order of 2 knives today. I also noticed the liner locks were a tiny bit rough on some edges. Nice knives though. The folders are large and well made all around.
Todays order I got one of the fixed blades (regular) with the blue maple handle. What a gorgeous knife. What a great buy for sure!
I was showing it off at work and a couple guys wanted one. I jumped online to show them the site and noticed they are about out of knives. No more fixed blades (Damascus maybe but not regular). Many of the others are out of stock now too. Glad I jumped on this when the original post came out (thanks!!).
